Well we know that Queen Atlanna eats fish, and I'd imagine they drink water in the same way we breath air.

There's probably trace amounts of it in the water you drink too. Maybe Atlantians have a filtration system for the water they drink? Swimming around in pee is no different from us in the ocean or a swimming pool; there's always some kid that can't be bothered to get out of the pool.
