World Superman Lives!

You can now BUY Blu Ray/DVD copies however I'm unsure if they are shipping to the rest of the world. Have sent an email to find out.

Edit: I ordered it got charged $20 shipping, so in total cost me about $50 which is about £30 over here. Not bad I'd say.

I bought a digital version - 20 bucks. :yay:

I've emailed to ask them when my disc will dispatch but they haven't emailed me back

I've got an email back Blu Rays and DVDs will despatch the second week of July, didn't confirm an exact date mind

John Schnepp's uploaded the first ten minutes to YouTube, even watching that I loved it. Can't wait for my Blu Ray to arrive.

So the movie's really, really good.

8.5/10

Cqn you rent this in demand everywhere or just buy for now from the website?

once you purchase it does it have to download or do you just choose to stream it on the various platforms?

not bad for the 90's

Have to say I was quite dissapointed with this almost-final costume. Underwear, belt... seems way too standard after previous versions.

Bought myself a blu-ray copy tonight. Looking forward to it

Yeah I gotta wait for my Blu Ray too.

Must say that pic isn't bad, the suit I mean but Cage still doesn't look right in it.

So I couldn't wait to watch it so I also got the digital copy.

Wow what an amazing documentary, after watching it I can honestly say I wish the film had been made and with Nic Cage as Superman/Clark Kent. They really were working on something unique not only with the story and style but with their version of Superman. The duality of it and the fact that he feels an outsider because he's different would have been so interesting to see.

As for the documentary itself I really loved the score, they really did something with this that felt like it could have been used for the movie. I also liked what he did with the recreation scenes, the costumes looked superb.

My favourite thing though was seeing Tim and Nic talking about the characterisation whilst Nic was trying out the costumes. They were so excited to make this movie and Nic Cage really had it down what he wanted to do with the dual roles.

Man fo I wish this film had been made, I really would love to see it animated but unfortunately I don't think they'll ever touch unproduced movies (I'm sure there'd be issues with having to pay certain people for certain things).

I think this might just be my favourite documentary I've ever sat through and would give it a very high 9/10.

I loved it to and not just for the movie but a great peeling back the curtain of sorts with how movies fall about in pre production within the hollywood ranks.
I would love if this film got nominated at the oscars.

Yes it was interesting to see more of that side of things. Jon Peters is clearly ****ing nuts aswell, what a character. I actually would love to meet him, a much as he comes out with some crazy stuff I bet he'd be a right laugh.

I don't think it will but it sure as hell should.

So that suit was going to be the one he has in the beginning, and once he is resurrected, he would have the all blue suit with red cape and red shield?

I'm not sure, it was quite confusing. Probably the suit you mentioned was just some early version. He would start with this classic suit then the lighting one for like 2 minutes and then that black / K robotic costume but I think they didn't really finish any other suit, just the classic blu/red/yellow.

He would have that at the start, then the black suit and eventually a new suit which I'm assuming was the all blue with red S. Funnily enough in the documentary you see that suit in different light and it looks fine.

I don't mind the suit so much, it's cool to see Cage in something that kind of resembles the classic suit after all that dark and edgy concept art of Giger-esque and black suits. But that hair would have never worked. It's so stringy and sickly.

The documentary was cool and made me look at this project with more respect. Before i always thought of it as joke, but now i see it as a great creative effort. Sure it doesn´t follow the comics or whatever, but it was an interesting take on the character. Plus, we see Superman flying and the flying dynamics looked amazing, especially for the 90´s. It truly looked as good, if not better than the flying in MOS. It really blew me away. I see nothing wrong with the project. As far as Nic Cage goes, there´s a reason why Tim Burton is where he is and i´m simply here talking about him in a forum. His ideas go beyond the obvious. Most of other people´s don´t. It´s easy to say that Superman should be big, muscular, handsome, bla, bla, bla. But that´s not creative. That´s not art. When we ask for that, we´re just reproducing ideas that we´ve seen in comics. He is an actual creator.

Really enjoyed the documentary. It made me appreciate Superman Returns and Man of Steel. While neither are perfect, I'm glad we got them compared to Superman Lives. That Jon Peters is one crazy dude. He has some weird obsession with spiders...
