I think she could keep the headlines about her health if she got out in front of it and released a clean bill of health. She will have changed focus from her deplorable comments while shooting down any health concerns.

Yeah, which is why I think Hillary could be taking a page out of the Trump playbook. He's the master at deflection. If something is in the news cycle that he doesn't like he finds a way to pull a stunt that will overshadow a blunder and play the media like a fiddle.

I don't think so, I think she feels the way that many of us do when we think how someone with absolutely no experience, says "deplorable" things on a daily, sometimes hourly basis, and has surrounded himself with some of the most divisive, racist, homophobic, misogynistic people in the history of a campaign can make it in this country as far as he has....it is a question I ask daily.

I wrote dismissively of that conspiracy theory in this space last week, noting that Clinton had been given an entirely clean bill of health by her doctors after an episode in which she fainted, suffered a concussion and then was found to have a blood clot in late 2012 and early 2013.

Coughing, I wrote, is simply not evidence enough of any sort of major illness that Clinton is assumed to be hiding. Neither, of course, is feeling "overheated." But those two things happening within six days of each other to a candidate who is 68 years old makes talk of Clinton's health no longer just the stuff of conspiracy theorists.

It was more convincing than the gifs from the DNC where she gets googly eyed and gape-mouthed, as far as health concerns go. There's some kinda neuro issue going on there - that's what I think you have going on with the foot drag she develops, right before her handlers drag her into the van.

Were it heart, you'd have a harder time seeing anything unless you were right up close - sweat, labored breathing, her clutching her chest, those signs are very obvious.

Were it a blood pressure issue, bottoming out, you'd likely see her drop right on the spot from LOC. Or, she'd be very deliberate in her movements, doing down to the ground slowly to avoid passing out while standing and suffering any head trauma.

That's true. Her "deplorable" comment, while true, was going to damage her.

I disagree. If she was going up against Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio the comment would have hurt her, but against Trump she has a get free out of jail card. It's not really that hard to defend/backtrack her comments when she inevitably gets asked about it(she is already saying she was wrong for saying 50% in a written statement for instance)

Yes, but most people would simply remove their coat if they were overheating. The foot drag is what's raised my alarms. It kinda struck me as odd wearing clothes like those in the summer heat, but I never paid it any mind. The Alex Jones crowd have given it more than enough attention.

The only thing that could make this election more of a cluster**** than it already is is if the only candidate standing in the way of a Trump presidency has some kind of serious and threatening health condition.

As would a lot of reasonable people, but I could see fence sitters go to the opposite candidate just because it offers more continuity. This is really not the kind of thing that needs to happen right now, Clinton should be resoundingly taking the lead over Trump, nothing should be presenting the fence-sitters with any more doubt.

It's oversimplification and stupidity, but that's the average voter nowadays, they'd probably just think "Why vote for her if she's just going to die in a year, I'll go for the guy that's going to see this through".

But then again, both these candidates are ****ing mediocre to the core, one of them just isn't an absolutely vapid sociopath with the emotional and cognitive maturity of a teenage chimp.

Thing is it's one bad thing. Trump supporters basically have been shooting out stupid things for the past month or so(such as the coughing fit picture above) and if they start focusing on stuff that isn't as bad as this stuff and get more into the conspiracy theory side of things what happened today will get lost int he shuffle.
