What are scenes or moments from bad or poorly received comic book films that you consider good? I’ll post a few:

Batman Forever - Fall In The Cave.

Batman And Robin - Bruce And Alfred Scene.

Fantastic Four Rise Of The Silver Surfer - The Silver Surfer Chase.

Fantastic Four(2015) - Doom Hallway Massacre

Superman IV has a number of small, 'diamond in the rough' moments that I adore and think of as being genuinely great. In particular, the last ten minutes or so features two of my absolute favourite Christopher Reeve Superman lines:

Superman: And there will be peace. There will be peace when the people of the world want it so badly, that their governments will have no choice but to give it to them.

Luthor: Is the world gonna be vaporised?
Superman: No, Luthor, it's as it always was: on the brink, with good fighting evil. See you in twenty.

That first line might sound a little overly sappy and laughably idealistic, but if Superman can't be allowed to act like that from time to time, then no character should be allowed to. :funny: And for all that Superman IV gets wrong, that last exchange between Superman and Luthor felt so right. That last exchange was the perfect send off to both iterations of their respective characters.

While I think WW84 is more boring than bad, I did think that the opening gauntlet scene with young Diana and the scene at the end where Maxwell Lord renounces his wish and reunites with his son made the movie worth watching.

Agreed on the Bruce/Alfred scenes from B&R and Gwen's death from TASM2.

I would add Xavier's death from TLS and I also liked his delivery of "I don't have to explain myself, least of all to you" to Wolverine and Clooney Batman's delivery of "It's my rules that keep us alive and if you want to stay in this house and on this team you will abide by them," another rare moment of him being in-character/sincere.

Don't put my head on a pike, but I always liked the final scene in Catwoman 2004.

"Sometimes I'm good...ooh I'm really good. But sometimes I'm bad, but only as bad as I wanna be..."

There was a good movie in here…somewhere. Liked the scenes with these two, and the Jean/Xavier confrontation at her childhood home too.

“Then it will happen this way: You make the kill, but your pain doesn't die with Harvey, it grows. So you run out into the night to find another face, and another, and another, until one terrible morning you wake up and realize that revenge has become your whole life. And you won't know why.”

Kilmer was such an underrated Bruce Wayne.

the body horror aspect in Fan4stic was unique and could have been a great movie

opening credits in Wolverine Origins wish the whole movie was that

Superman Returns the plane rescue sequence was epic

Suicide Squad Enchantress origin was great

Good thread idea bc as the responses show there’s quite a bit.

First one that jumped in my mind was the Silver Surfer chase in FF2. Gotta hand it to them, they basically nailed the look of SS, at least for 2007.

Also this might be controversial, but I’ve always been partial to the Batman warehouse fight in BvS. I’ve obviously got issues with it but as an action sequence it’s solid.
