DC TV Series Dead Boy Detectives Series on HBO Max

Neil Gaiman is ****ing swimming in TV adaptations.

Apparently they're recasting the characters so the ones that appeared in Doom Patrol will not be on the show....

It’s interesting to see them take the same approach that Doom Patrol took in setting itself apart from Titans continuity.

I mean, I liked the actors, but that’s not to say I won’t like someone else just as much or more.

They recast David Tennant and Georgia Moffitt's kid

Sorry not a filming update But news on a new 6 issue mini-series from DC.

The DEAD BOY DETECTIVES return in new miniseries from Pichetshote & Stokely

This is probably canceled.

Beach plays Tragic Mick, a melancholy walrus trapped in a human body who helps the Dead Boys out sometimes.

Colley plays Monty, an affable, astrology-loving teen who can see ghosts… and falls pretty hard for Edwin Payne.

Gort is Maxine, a quirky librarian in Port Townsend with a big, messy secret.

Because they see HBOMax as more than DC stuff, probably. I imagine unconnected/not-Gunn stuff will go to other services and stuff in Gunn's plan will be HBO/Max.

I’ve been kind of wondering about this one when you take into consideration Gunn’s overall plans — if it would need to be designated Elseworlds or (I had assumed) that it was far enough off the radar in terms of what Gunn will be using that that wouldn’t even really be necessary.

But if we’re moving toward a point where stuff on HBO Max is mostly related to big-screen material (DCU/The Batman, etc.), then it would at least make sense to move this to the service that already has Sandman, considering that book is where these characters originated.
