Seeing as Jordan was based on Newman and Stewart on Poitier (yes I know they changed his character to be more like Hal, yet I prefer the young creative artist thinks outside the box architect(opens the doors of perception) John Stewart, to the bland military grunt they've made him):
Just swap the brass horns^ for power-rings: Buddy Cop Space-Opera, with whoever can approximate the great dynamic of these two today.:cwink:
Re: The Lantern Thread
Then to truly have John & Hal as a buddy space cop type they have to be closer in age so I would go:

Chris Pine as Hal Jordan
John David Washington as John Stewart
Pine's James T. Kirk was pretty much Hal Jordan in every way. Yet WB instead repurposed him as Steve Trevor. I think they need someone new.

LaKeith Stanfield / John Stewart
Love both these choices.

Counterpoint: I don't give a F*** about Barry Allen, Wally West is always cooler and he fits more with James Gunn's DC.
Given the setting of a world where supers are already established, I say lead off with Barry’s death and have Wally step into his shoes.

Wally as the DCU Flash I can't see Gunn going with Wally at least not right away

Constantine should look and behave like a younger version of Gary Oldman's character in Slow Horses. Sharp as a whip on the inside but a complete mess on the outside.

Today it's going to be a litle different... Other than 2 WW casting i'm gonna add another character casting.

Let start with :ww:
1. Álfrún Laufeyjardóttir. Born in Iceland, I couldn't find her exact age only details from her acting agency, says she can act 17-27, so i think it's fair to assume she not over 27. she's 5'8 and i, first, show her on "Vikings: Valhalla".

Next one is -
Aubri Ibrag. She's Australian. born in August 2001. she's 5'8 and She's been acting since 2021. Only TV, so far.

The next one is a suggestion for... Power Girl, though I think WW might work, too.

Shannon Dee. She was born on March 1995. She's 5'10. She's an American. I first saw her on "Hacks", but she's been acting since 2011.

Good night.

I know she was already in that, ahem, other film, but Grace Fulton is someone I could actually see Gunn considering for Diana.

She was in the DCEU as a member of the Shazam Family so to see her back in DC this time under James Gunn as a new character especially as Wonder Woman...I could get behind that

I know. That's what I meant by that "ahem, other film." :funny: But yeah, she should, at minimum, be given a screen test.

I wouldn't mind it as well as certain other actors who were in the DCEU as other characters getting a second shot under James Gunn but as different characters namely Jason Momoa, Pierce Brosnan, Nicole Kidman among others

To me Arjona is like Gadot but with much less warmth and much more sexiness.

I think she’d be a better Circe than Diana

What exactly have you seen her in? Arjona is no way like Gadot. Like at all. She's a fantastic actor, who has shown range and more importantly, a beautiful combination of strength and compassion, suited to the character of Diana. Just because a Latin woman is sexy, doesn't mean she lacks warmth.

A good example is Max's Father of the Bride. Easily could of been one of those blah remakes, but all those involved bring the kind of warmth you need for such a film to work. And Adria is at the core of it.
