Dollhouse, the narrative horror game from Creazn Studo once planned for release in early 2016, will launch worldwide for PlayStation 4 and PC both physically and digitally later this year, publisher Soedesco announced.

About

Dollhouse is a narrative horror game that pays homage to 1950’s film noir. The game has an intricate Stephen King-like story that utilizes suspense rather than jump scares. The narrative is self-constructing and immerses players in a world that is affected by their choices.




Craft Your Own Story

The story of Dollhouse centers inside the mind of Marie, a detective trying to unravel her past. The player can use the help of a big cast of characters to gradually progress further into Marie’s mind. They can create their own experience by choosing which paths they take.
Dollhouse has a single player campaign mode and online versus multiplayer.

This looks awesome, this sounds like my kind of game. At last a game that focuses in the narrative aspect, building an atmosphere of tension and suspense, rather than making use of the always predictable jump scares. It sounds rather interesting Will definitely try it.

Publisher Soedesco and developer Creazn Studio have released a new story trailer for film noir psychological horror game Dollhouse.

The Story of Marie

Welcome to the twisted world of Dollhouse. In the single-player story mode, players assume the identity of the mysterious Marie. Once she was known as “The Greatest Detective in the World”, but now she is suffering from amnesia and desperately trying to get her memories back. All she remembers is that on a catastrophic night, her daughter Emily has died.

Marie is trapped inside the sinister Dollhouse, where the doors are locked, clocks stopped, and journals hidden. To escape, she has to sift through the ashes of reality to recover the charred remains of her memories and find out what happened to Emily. She has to be wary though, because something disturbing and dark is watching her from the shadows. Conflicted by the different personas in her mind, every decision she makes is essential to survival.

Open beta set for April 13 to 14.

Psychological horror game Dollhouse will launch physically and digitally for PlayStation 4 and for PC via Steam on May 24, publisher Soedesco and developer Creazn Studio announced.

An open beta will run on both platforms from April 13 to 14 to test the game’s single-player and online multiplayer, and to gather user feedback. Those interested in participating can sign up here. Open beta participants will be selected randomly from those who signed up and provided a beta key.

A new trailer made in the 1950s film noir style was released alongside the announcement. Here is an overview of the trailer, via Soedesco:

The trailer shows Marie, once “The Greatest Detective in the World” but now suffering from amnesia, on a terrifying investigation inside Dollhouse. Confronted with disturbing entities, cryptic clues and deadly traps, she’ll have to regain her memories and escape Dollhouse before it’s too late.

In order to survive, Marie has the power to remove objects and temporarily stun her pursuer with the Flash feature, which is also visible in the trailer. Furthermore, there’s the “Focus” feature which enables Marie to see through the eyes of her stalker.

Dollhouse PC open beta set for April 12 to 17

Sign-up to access the open beta a day early.

The PC version of Dollhouse will be playable in open beta on Steam from April 12 at 4:00 a.m. PT / 7:00 a.m. ET to April 17 at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET, publisher Soedesco and developer Creazn Studio announced.

A selected group of players will gain access to the beta one day sooner. Interested users can sign-up here to gain early access to the beta.

The beta includes the first two chapters of the single-player story for about two hours of gameplay. Additionally, two maps from the online multiplayer mode are playable, on which up to eight players can hunt each other down.

Dollhouse is due out for PlayStation 4 and PC on May 24.
