X-Men "First Class"
The first class of students has been at the mansion for several years already learning to control their powers in secrecy. An old acquaintance, Magneto, resurfaces and starts to form his own group of mutants knows at the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. The side story involves Wolverine vs. Sabretooth with both groups trying to recruit Logan. The X-Men are captured at the end of the movie. Xavier helps Wolverine defeat Sabretooth so he finally agrees to join. The two go off to gather more mutants to stage a rescue. In the final battle Mastermind sneaks away. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch leave the Brotherhood over a disagreement with Magento.

X-Men "Second Genesis"
Xavier and Wolverine recruit Banshee, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Storm, Sunfire and Thunderbird to rescue the first class of X-Men. Meanwhile, Magneto has added Avalanche, Blob, Mystique and Unus to the Brotherhood. Three new students, Havok (Scott's younger brother), Polaris and Shadowcat has enrolled at the school. None of the three are happy to stay back at the school during the rescue mission. The team is rescued but Thunderbird is killed on the mission. Banshee and Sunfire decline an offer to join the X-men while the other new recruits decided to stay at the mansion. In the post credit scene Havok and Polaris leave the school after being approached by Valerie Cooper, a government agent promising key rolls in a new program called X-Factor.

X-Men "Hellfire"
The X-Men clash with the mysterious and ancient Hellfire Club. Gambit, Psylocke and Rogue have joined the team. Angel and Psylocke uncovers their families have a history with the Hellfire Club. The two go undercover and are captured. The Hellfire Club is working with a geneticist, Nathan Essex (Mr. Sinister), who experiments on both prisoners. Angel's wings are amputated and Psylocke's consciousness is transferred into to the body of Hellfire Club assassin Revanche. Psylocke's original body, Betsy Braddock, is destroyed in the final battle. Angel leaves the X-Men due to the loss of his wings. The after credits scene shows Angel being approached by a mysterious offer to help restore his wings.

Sigh, I think it is funny that people really want to see more Xavier vs. Magneto If the Singer-verse did one thing right besides casting Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, it was getting that dynamic right. And after six movies of it, I think reboot, no reboot, or some weird Frankenstein hybrid in between, we can give Xavier vs. Magneto a good long rest at this point!

This thread also seems silly since (ahem) we just got a new cast. Let me help.

Quicksilver: Evan Peters (great choice)
Jubilee: Lana Condor (can't say)

How about we see how this cast does since we literally just got it and they were only allowed to take command of the film in the third act.

Fair enough, I was just going by the top and viewing it as a completely new reboot. Sorry, I was under the weather and lying around in bed so it helped pass the time working on that extensive list. I actually really liked the new Cyclops, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler and Storm too. Yes, I would be fine with them continuing to add to that roster (Angel alive and recruited and Iceman would be my choices). No opinion yet on Jubilee because once again she was a background character. I have always really like to see the five original X-Men together as a group.
