Guardians of the Galaxy Get out your walkmens- what songs should be in volume 3?

Still holding out hope for "My Sharona" to show up in a Guardians movie.

Oh man, where to start.... because now we can go with 80s and 90s tunes too.

How about for starters.....

Little Green Bag ( George Baker)

Ramble On ( Zeppelin)

Take on me ( Ah- ha)

Hallelujah ( Jeff Beck)

Girlfriend ( Matthew Sweet )

What a feeling ( Crowbar)

Hey Jude ...dont need to say who wrote that do I ?

Taking care of business ( BTO)

Fly like an eagle ( Steve Miller)

Tom Sawyer (Rush)

Sweet Emotion ( Aerosmith)

Tainted Love ( soft cell)

Hungry Like the wolf ( Duran Duran)

I could keep going and going.....

Sweet Emotion (Aerosmith)
Paradise City (Guns n Roses)
Jungle Boogie (Kool and the Gang)
The Boys are Back in Town (Thin Lizzy)
Take On Me (Ah-Ha)
Communication Breakdown (Led Zeppelin)
Let's Dance (David Bowie)

Since we now have a new music player, the sounds may be a little different than what we're accustomed to.

A lesser known song from the 90s for a lesser known player from the 2000s.
Also fits well in name and thematically with a certain character Gunn has hinted at, though it may be a bit on the nose

Since he’s got more songs than the 70s now I wouldn’t mind some 80s classics.

The two I really want to see are Space Oddity by David Bowie and Symptom of the Universe by Black Sabbath.

Spacer by Sheila B and Black Devotion

Rock Me Gently by Andy Kim

Anything by Neil Diamond. Actually, Neil Diamond should be in this movie. As Neil Diamond. Because Earth is only one of many planets with a Neil Diamond.

Love all these suggestions. A couple of my own:

Bill Withers - "Lovely Day" or "Ain't No Sunshine"
King Harvest - "Dancing in the Moonlight" or "A Little Bit Like Magic"
Anything by Steppenwulf

I'm loving all of that. Personally I prefer Toploader's version of Dancing in the Moonlight.

Some funk would also be welcome additions to the soundtrack ( 70s or 80s funk).

After recently listening to Hall and Oates masterpiece "She's Gone", I think it's a no brainer to open Guardians 3 with that song, especially considering the Gamora situation.

Seems like GotG2 missed out not using Papa was a Rolling Stone :(

He's got the Zune so I'd imagine up through 2010 is fair game.

I'm assuming he's looking for Gamora

Rappers Delight (Sugar Hill Gang)
La Grange (ZZ Top)
My Girl (Temptations)
Uptown Girl (Billy Joel)
Welcome to the Jungle (Guns N Roses)
Janie's got a Gun (Aerosmith)
Take the Money & Run (Steve Miller)
I will survive (Gloria Gainer)
I got you babe (Sonny & Cher)
Hit the Road Jack (Ray Charles)
With a Little Help from my Friends (The Beatles)
Ziggy Stardust (David Bowie)
Save the Last Dance (The drifters)
Can't Always Get What you want (Rolling Stones)
When a Man loves a woman (Percy Sledge)
Lets get it on (Marvin Gaye)

What was everyone's verdict on the soundtrack for Vol. 3?

Personally I thought the songs were great but most of them felt disconnected and popped up randomly compared to the songs in the first two movies, which felt more woven into the plot. The biggest standout to me was the acoustic version of "Creep" opening the movie.

saw this today and classically for me, i forgot the name of a tune i heard it in.

obviously it is not in the OST, so please dont name one of those.

i was more a 90s type dance-like song i believe, so basically,

if you know ANY songs from the movie and not in the soundtrack,

can you name them to help me find it, cheers.

I agree with some of the songs but not Creep. That was 100% on point. I also dug No Sleep till Brooklyn and Dog Days are Over. Those scenes really hit for me.

Need more specifics. What scene was this featured in?

Oh, I meant "Creep" was the best utilized song IMO. There's no way I could hate it because it was one of my favorite songs with one of my favorite MCU characters singing along to it. It fit the mood to a tee.

Ahh my bad, I totally misread your post.

Felt like there were more songs in this one (and also that they were far more modern, which was an unexpected surprise).

There definitely were, and unlike the previous two GOTGs all the songs on the soundtrack were featured in the movie.
