Rosario Dawson Opts Out Of Kevin Smith’s ‘Zack and Miri Make a Porno’

It’s been a full-time job keeping up with all the Rosario Dawson casting news over the past couple weeks. A few days ago, ”Eagle Eye” director D.J. Caruso (”Disturbia) told us that Dawson was set for his new flick opposite Shia LaBeouf, and the week before, Kevin Smith told us all about how he wrote the part of Miri in his upcoming flick, “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” specifically for the “Clerks 2” star. Smith even confided to us that he’d be “flabbergasted” if she didn’t do it.

Well, consider Smith flabbergasted. We talked to Dawson for some 40 minutes yesterday about her new film, “Descent,” and just about every other project under the sun (stay tuned for more from the interview soon) and so we of course brought up the Kevin Smith film.

Her response? “It’s going to be a really interesting film. I don’t think I’m going to be a part of it. He wrote it for me, but I’m just signing on to do ”Eagle Eye” and that’s going to be shooting from November to March.”

yeah, he said that after chasing amy, after dogma, after jay and silent bob, and after clerks II. either way, i really hope it is dead. clerks II was one film too many....i dig smith, but he's really starting to become a one trick pony, and im sick of the trick. clerks II was almost a cheap parody of himself. so im hoping he gives us something new with these next 2 films.

Clerks II is funny upon first viewing because it relies so heavily on shock value. Second viewing, it is kinda boring.

Chasing Amy really is in my opinion Kevin Smith best film due to how it relies the least on popculture references... I'm really hopnig KS stops using pop-culture references as some kind of safty blanket, so Jersey Girl was a flop hop back on the ****in horse man....

Jersey Girls problem really lies with the fact that the comedy isn't all that funny, and the drama isn't that great where as CA the comedy is priceless and the drama is stellar, JG isn't terrible but its nothing different then your normal rom-com's really

I love smith the Veiwaskeniverse is priceless, one of the best out there Clerks 2 was great I would love to see him do more View stuff, but if he chooses to do other things that is more than fine with me

altough i think me might be a one trick poney in all honestity, but is one trick is better than most peoples best trick imo

Dogma is such a great film, my fav of his movies but for a complete movie smiths best is chasing amy i still think Jay and Silent Bob are to of the funniset comic creations ever made they should appear in all smiths movies.
