First of Inti Create's two Switch announcements.

Inti Creates is developing Mighty Gunvolt Burst for Switch and 3DS, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.




The game is an expanded version of Mighty Gunvolt, which is available now for 3DS and PC, as well as PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Japan as Gal Gunvolt. It offers new features such as a character growth system and “Burst Combo” system, which is triggered when you’re close to the enemy and land a finishing blow, giving you a score bonus.




In addition to Azure Striker Gunvolt main character Gunvolt, Beck from Mighty No. 9 will also be playable. The Switch version will also feature HD rumble support through item dowsing.




A release date was not announced.




Inti Creates previously said it will announce two new Switch titles at A 5th of BitSummit in Kyoto this weekend. Mighty Gunvolt Burst is one of them, so there is still one more title to come.

Inti Creates has announced Mighty Gunvolt Burst version update 1.1, which will add Ekoro from Gal Gun to the game as a playable character.


Ekoro will be available as a free download from July 27 to August 9. After that, she will become paid downloadable content.

About
A self-proclaimed “elite” angel has descended from the heavens.
Although she can’t use her popularity-inducing powers in the game world, her wings give her jump an extra “oomph” over the other characters. Her basic attack, the Angel’s Arrow, is a little weak. However, she has the power of the Goddess’s Blessing to compensate. Using this unique system to raise her firepower is crucial!
Story
For Ekoro, there was no one she admired more than Patako, her upperclassman at the Angel Academy. So when Patako recommended a game for Ekoro, she was ready to play.
Even though Ekoro was no gamer, she felt her heart race as she put on the special HMD (Head Mounted Display) and entered the game world. Who knows if she will be able to finish the game, though…

Publisher Nighthawk Interactive will release a physical version of Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack for Switch in North America, an Amazon listing reveals.


Previously, the game was only confirmed for a digital release in western territories. In Japan, it is also getting a physical release in both standard and limited editions.


Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack will launch for Switch via the Nintendo eShop worldwide on August 31. It includes both Azure Striker Gunvolt and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2.

Inti Creates has released the version 1.2 update for Mighty Gunvolt Burst, adding Call and Joule to the game as paid downloadable characters for $1.99 each.

The physical edition of the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack will launch for Switch on November 21 in North America and December 1 in Europe, publisher Nighthawk Interactive announced.

• Tenzou from Gal Gun – Tenzou is the original protagonist from the very first Gal Gun game, and the source of the Super Popular Legend that spread around Sakurazaki Academny. He is armed with the Blaster Goggles that fire powerful beams of light known as the Pheromone Shot! Angels Patako and Ekoro help him traverse this virtual world with their Doki Doki Mode and Angelic Guidance abilities.
