Pedro Pascal IS Maxwell Lord

I liked Pedro a lot in this. I think they went a little overboard with Max at the end, but that’s more of a criticism of writing and direction than his performance.

Loved Pedro. I get that it worked for this film but I was kind of hoping they would add some of the misogynist stuff from the comics there but I think overall he was a great Max

 

[Primal Slayer]

He was great in this but sadly he was over utilized and the most annoying part of the film.

 

[Captain Tired]

I thought he was brilliant. I'm not the type to wear my heart on my sleeve or get particularly emotional when watching a film, but the scenes with him and his son got me close to tearing up. The best part of the movie was balancing all the major players and showing how each of them has their own substantial amount of pathos to overcome. His journey spoke to me the most.

 

[The Guard]

Pascal was excellent as Max, and I think Lord is one of the better drawn villains in some time. They gave him a lot to play with. Surprisingly relatable, though not quote sympathetic.
