Rank the Christopher Nolan Movies

I love Interstellar--I didn't know if Nolan could pull off Spielbergian sentiment (I knew the Kubrick influence would come naturally enough) but I do think Interstellar is perhaps his most emotionally effective film and even has moments of poetry to it (my goodness, the docking scene). For me if it was a little shorter and a lot less expositional (I love the ending in and of itself but don't really care for the characters explaining to me how I should interpret it) it might be my favorite Nolan.

1. Interstellar (In my top ten films of all time.)
2. The Dark Knight
3. Batman Begins
4. The Prestige
5. Dunkirk
6. Memento
7. The Dark Knight Rises
8. Inception
9. Following

Didn't see all of Insomnia to rank it.

Great director, one of the best from this decade and will probably be an all time great at the end of his filmography. for now he's a tier below Scorsese, Spielberg etc and on par with Fincher, Cameron, Villenueve, Paul Thomas Anderson etc

I love the Prestige. One of my favorite movies ever. I just showed it to my youngest son for the first time on Fathers Day this year. He loved it too (even if my wife does not.)

3. TDK
4. Dunkirk
5. Tenet
6. Inception
7. Memento

I never saw Following. But 1-10 are all excellent movies. There isn’t a bad one in the bunch as far as I’m concerned.

Memento is still my favorite. I still think it's his best one. Followed by The Prestige and The Dark Knight.

One should always watch The Prestige. And re-watch it, countless times for it will never get old.
Just rewatched it yesterday :cwink: as soon as you hear "are you watching closely?", the mood is set.

I also just love the atmosphere of that film. Perfect for a rainy day.
