Shazam Rate then review Black Adam

This just showed up on-demand. So I gave it a try.

I guess my reaction was casual indifference. Part of that may be due to some level of “super-hero fatigue.” Part may be because the characters were mostly unfamiliar to me. That said, I thought the pseudo-history backstory and foreign setting were nice embellishments, and distinguished the material (at least a tad) from the usual “Western-centric” action plot. Certainly not a bad movie. I wouldn’t go as high as the RT audience score of 89%. But the 39% critics’ rating strikes me inappropriately low.

It's obvious they over thought it. I suppose Dwayne don't want BA to be a straight up villain, and It showed.

Hindsight is 20/20 but BA shoulda awoken, saw what had happened to his land, and went on a revenge spree.
No intergang either. His own people would have caused the decay.
No kid would be there either. He was cringy.
The JS would have shown up because BA was wiping everyone out.
