Dark Phoenix $ The DARK PHOENIX Box Office Speculation ThreaD $

Still looking for that one person who posted that this film was going to outdo Avengers Endgame...
... it was funny then, but it's hilarious, now!
It’s not over yet!

yeah, only 750m left, we can make it!!!!!

Dark Phoenix is ranked #99 among all comic book adaptations. That places it $6 million above 1983's Superman III in the #100 spot.

Does anyone think that DP can earn another $1,044,303 to overtake The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen at #98?

Didn't think so.

FFH just crossed a billion. The MCU now has 9 billion dollar films, and Fox still haven’t hit $800m after 2 decades. EG has got closer to $3B than any Fox X-film has got to a billion. 12 out of 23 MCU films beat the best Fox effort.

The hardest truth about how this series has NEVER connected with audiences. No matter how much I adore some of the films in this series.

I think the potential was there after X2 to go big, but we all know what happened next. A bit of faith by the higher ups at the right time and things could have been very different. As it is, time for a reboot (despite some very good films), and hopefully this time we get to see many of the X-Men realised to the height of their potential.

Dark Phoenix has made $250M worldwide.

That’s only $10M more than what Batman & Robin made in 1997.

Thank you.

...and 25% of what Spider-Man: Far From Home has made in just 4 weeks.

Did anyone think a Black Panther film would ever outgross a X-Men team film by over a billion dollars? (and be over 10 times as big domestically)

50th highest grossing film based in Marvel comics sounds better :o

Also its gonna be out of the top 100 by neXt year.

and the fact that Bryan and Kinberg absolutely never got the message is even more frustrating
Not only did they not get the message, they continued to go further and further the opposite way. Imagine if this franchise was continuing at Fox. How much lower would the numbers have to go before someone realised something was wrong. I dread to think what New Mutants would have made coming out after DP.

That’s only $50M more than what the Yogi Bear movie made in 2010.

Thank you.

Dark Phoenix has reached $250M worldwide.

That’s only costed Fox millions of potential revenue to be earned highly. But due to negative reviews and bad word of mouth, this movie not only costed some folks at Fox to lose their jobs, but also Kinberg left Fox afterwards so he wouldn’t have to get his ass handed to and getting his ass kicked by the fans, the movies-goers, the mouse, and Feige for tanking the X-Men name.

Thank you.

So many movies made that were ashamed of the source material. None of the X-Men films (aside from Deadpool) even resemble the comics. It's sad. I don't think it was until Spider-Man in 2002 that comic movies started looking remotely accurate again.

Dark PhoeniX is now at $252 million worldwide.

That's just $5 million less than Avengers: Infinity War's domestic opening weekend.

Come on Dark PhoeniX, you can do it!

And $107m short of EG’s. :D
