2:54 p.m. He just showed a taste of the Casino Royale trailer. And then cut it off, to head over and show us the network functionality. He reminded us that all games will use the presence and messaging system of the PS3 (Xfire's middleware also offers this tech). The software keyboard interface uses predictive text (like the PSP) but you will also be able to plug in the USB keyboard. Users will be able to use A/V chat, block and add friends just like we exspected.

PSP as location Free player confirmed

2:57 p.m. Harrison is demonstrating the online web browser that will be included in every system. They showed the YouTube clip of Kaz saying Ridge Racer. Sony has embraced the faux pas. Now, Harrison is using something called "Remote Play" which involves integrating the PSP with the PS3. The example Harrison used was firing up the PSP and picking up with the Casino Royale trailer, right where we left off.

Playstation STORE Demoed

John then showed off the PlayStation Store. The interface included featured items, demos, downloadable games, top downloads, and what's new. The system has integrated X-Fire which allows current users on the PC to see who's online with PS3.

The store can be built directly into the games. This means that you can make purchases like episodic content within the game. The store has a top story that features the latest content. Downloadable games featured PS1 content that is playable on the PSP and in the future playable on the PS3.

3:09 p.m.: Motorstorm Downloadable Demo will be available on Nov. 17 and that demo is being shown now. Harrison promises daily, weekly, monthly updates to the content availability. Motorstorm, like the 1UP Show has talked about, looks a bit sluggish, but makes up for it with extremely pretty visuals, it actually looks borderline incredible.

3:06 p.m. Their downloadable games, according to Harrison, will be $14.99 or less. Harrison also pointed out that this demonstration is not a canned demonstration, this is actual game purchasing and purchasing of items from the store and it's absolutely Live.

3:00 p.m.John Smedley from SOE is talking about the online store and championing the ability to use third party middleware for online solutions (like Xfire). The PlayStation store has an API that allows gamemakers to build the stores directly into the game, "it will allow people to buy car parts." Oh, the future is grim. There are four tabs across the store: Featured Items, Demos, Downloadable Games and View All. In the Downloadable games tab we have PSone: Jet Moto 2, Fl0w, Blast Factor, Got Sudoku, Grip Shift DLX and a couple other titles. These PSOne games will be playable on your PSP at launch, and Smedley indicated that further down the line they would be playable on the PS3.

Smedley added a game to the cart and the money is in actual dollars, not points (thank God). Blast Factor is checking out for $0.01 (not final pricing). There will be ways to add to your account either with your credit card, or by purchasing cards at retail that will augment the amount of funds you have online. Smedley mentioned that it could be used like an online allowance for parents and kids.

I like that Sony played the Ridge Racer clip. it shows they atleast acknowledge some of their stupid quotes and roll with them.

WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GETTING ALL OF THIS!!!! I want to see :(

Apparently rhey showed that 1 minute Sony E3 conference youtube clip. :ninja:

So yeah they're definately not pulling any punches on themselves.

Look under the BLOG section, particularly Chris, Shane, and 1Up Editor.

Forgot this part, Zenny. ;)

Blast Factor was then shown. It was developed by 5 people and has online rankings and dynamic difficulty levels. It looks exactly like Geometry Wars. You can turn objects over by shooting a wave at them which plays into the strategy later in the game.

Actually, I'm willing to give Sony the benefit of the doubt.

They probably had this game in development since the early 90s and just NOW released it.

Y'know it bares more then a passing resemblance to mutant storm, which predates Geometry Wars.

Of course she did & your surprised ?

I'm pretty sure there's more important news good and bad that I didn't directly link since I only pasted like 3 things, BlastFactor looking like whatever it looks like doesn't really matter. But that would make so much sense now wouldn't it.
