The Politics of "Iron Man 2"

I don't get how 300 is some sort of parable for Iraq when it was done in the late 90's before Iraq war and the Bush administration. Also Frank Miller is a liberal anti-Bush freak.

Despite his anti-Bush/Reagan views, Frank Miller is actually quite the right-winger who's a huge fan of Ayn Rand which influenced his Batman work, has a neo-conservative approach to Islamic culture, has ties to the right-wing Friends of Abe (a gathering of conservative Hollywood professionals), even though he said that we should give Obama a chance, he was rather upset with his victory and even said the socialists have won when it comes to the topic of McCarthyism.

Also with his massive amounts of misogyny, how the hell can you call that man liberal?

Kate Mcclellan (Republican): Vixon, Plastic Man, Flash (Jay Garrick), Huntress

Davis Brewster (Democrat): Green Arrow, Dr. Light (female version)

Martin Suarez (Moderate Democrat): Bruce Wayne, Beast Boy, Blue Beetle (Jamie)

Tom Ridgeway (Libertarian, very pro military): Guy Gardner, Lois Lane, Power Girl, Wonder Woman, Hawkman

The confusion came cause I assumed Hawkman was Republican. At least he was notorious for that, and getting into arguments with Green Arrow.

That list strikes me as wrong in all sorts of ways. I've always pictured Jay Garrick as a FDR/Truman styled Democrat like Captain America. I've always pictured Hawkman as a hard-core neo-conservative, not a libertarian. Green Arrow would support the Green Party, not the DC equivalent of the Democrats. And Wonder Woman IMO is apolitical.

And Vixen supporting a Republican, sorry, but in today's day and age, very unlikely.

Yea Franky is a pseudo objectivist or an objectivist, cited the Romantic Manifesto as his influence which is written by Rand.

Objectivists dislike neocons, cons and even libertarians - just as much as liberals. Reagan ran as a libertarian-conservative and governed as a neocon. To them Libertarians are the most dangerous, despite the fact they are the ones who overlap the most. On the other hand, they are far more militant than say the Ron Paul Non-Interventionist type. You should watch that interview with O'Reilly and this objectivist - he made O'Reilly (during Iraq and 9/11 days) look like a god damn pacifist.

They are a complicated bunch.
