Transformers Megatron will officially be voiced by...

Weaving has a damn good sexy voice. :meow:

lol yea thanks... i uploaded it on youtube but its taking forever to accept it or w/e.

yea i put the sound effects to make the different lines blend, because if not you could tell they were cut together...lmao

Doesn't sound evil enough for Megatron, it really should be raspy and maniacle.

Well, I didn't do it, maybe the guy who did only had that line. Strangely enough, the only time I've heard Hugo sounding raspy and maniacal was on that Priscilla movie during one of his angry fits. Go figure.

I was actually hoping that the Weaving thing was a BIG rumor, bit now it's on the SHH front page, so meh...

Do you think Welker's feeling were hurt? And i wonder how Cullen took the news?

A few things about Welker, since its not 100% sure why he didnt get job.
1 being if he in his mind was a loyal 80s TF fan, i dont think he could seriously look at this Megatron and take it seriously, they completely rehashed Megatron in every sense for the Movie.

On the other hand, i still had a tough time imagining Welkers voice coming from the newly designed Megatron.

Welker like his original character is a schemer
while New Megatron will have his intelligent remarks, but mostly he's in it to kill

So in many ways Hugo works, because the 80s version of Megatron never made it to the big screen, only by name sake.

Lastly, well thanks Mike Bay, for making all the wrong moves in developing the 1st live action TF movie (save Peter Cullen, though i think that was a fan move, if u would not have cast him....id pray for ur 1st born)

Like i stated in another thread, maybe it's for that best that Welker will not even be associated with this movie, so that he will be forever remember as something great; the 80's incarnation of Megatron.

No matter how good this movie turns out to be, i will still not like the Megatron design. If this movie is terrible, Welkers rep won't go down with the ship.

And lastly, i love Cullen but having him deliver lines like "My bad" and having Prime talk without his trademark face plate is bad; it may have been in the best interest of having Cullen remain as an iconic part of the TF mytho by casting someone else besides him also, so that his reputation is not also dragged down with this sinking ship.

Although I would've preferred Frank Welker, I'm not against Hugo. Can't wait to hear his Megatron.

:trans:

I don't have a problem with it either . . . the only essential voice is that of PRIME!

Sorry for those posts last night guys. My dear drunk cousin crawled behind my computer and started flaming everyone. I apologize :)

The 3rd YouTube link 3 Dev Adam posted is a voice I'd like to hear on the big screen ... calm yet ... frightening :wow:

So its OFFICIAL OFFICIAL? Pretty interesting choice. Says a lot of things about the production. Bad choice for the hardcore fans, good choice for the success of this movie though. No offense to Welkers talents but it makes sense to go a different route with the villain. These type of movies really hinge on the villain so I'm not shocked they'd go for movie actor. I'm also shocked they didnt go straight for Anthony Hopkins. Not that I think he'd be good but thats the calibre of villain they have the resources to pull off. So is Weaving the right choice?

Thats a trip. I kind of dig a couple of those and think he'll have an enjoyable performance. Are we 100% sure this is official? Anyway, interesting choice.

yea anthony would be a good choice too....

maybe starscream? :D

Do ya know who could voice a perfect Starscream?

Michael Rosembaum.
