Haha @ 1:20, look how interested Andrew was in the Spider-Man comic :p
Would love to know what he said at that moment...

Just amazing. I couldn't be more happy at this point with his casting. Someone who adores Spider-Man as much as we do.

Also awesome to see how fans adore the live action persona of such a great almost modern mythological icon, Garfield, yet to prove successful as a great Peter Parker / Spider-Man, his life will or has changed forever.

Amazing.

I have a question; is Christian Bale a Batman fan? I'm just wondering because he does that role so well and if he isn't a fan, then Garfield may have him beat...:oldrazz:

I think it's important when making comic book movies that the core people (writer, director, actor) to have a certain appreciation for the character as it makes the development more smooth and enjoyable. So in Andrew's case, I have the most faith I've had in a person in recent years.

If you havn't seen boy A, go watch it!

His performance in the SN was the best. IDC what anyone says, he was the best part of that movie. Although the rest of the actors did a terrific job as well.

Heartbreaking is all I can say. I completely felt the backstabbing that happened to Eduardo Saverin. Garfield hit it out of the ballpark and into space, yeah that good.

If he made me feel that bad for a Harvard business grad then I can only imagine what he'll makes us feel playing as poor ol' Peter Parker.

He plays naively blissful very well. Really hard not to like him he's incredibly likable. His performances at least.

It's one of the strangest fan feelings I have ever had. I've had obsessions with actors, but it's usually accompanied by a crush... whereas with Andrew, I have very little attraction to him - I am just so drawn in by his performances.

I mean, first pic I saw of him, I thought he looked AWFUL! And when you see little clips of him, he's so awkward and often has no idea how to conduct himself like a celebrity would during an interview (all of which I think is adorable now).

But when I saw Boy A, I couldn't take my eyes off him. Every expression, every movement means something.

That's a massive star quality, in my eyes.

Really wish that had audio! Pretty sure I can see a lot of 'cool man' from my attempts to lip read it lol.

He became one during the casting process for Begins. He's a fan of a very particular kind of portrayal of Batman, and was formerly not interested in the character thanks to the 60's series and Joel Schumacher, which is why he was determined to do Batman on film correctly after being converted into fandom via the proper material.

Man, I wish we could hear what he is saying. I think that was ASM#549.

Man, he seems so down-to-Earth! A person who I can chill with at a bar and just talk about Spidey and **** for hours.

Good for him!

Sigh... dude will be the same age as Tobey when he picked up the part. I thought they wanted a high school trilogy...

Actually Tobey was 25 when he was first cast back in 2000. Garfield is already 27, so he's older then Tobey was when he first started.

I still remember people complaining that Tobey was too old at age 25, and now they went and got a 27 year old guy. Makes no sense.

Man, he's bussy lately going party to party... :D

Btw, how many suits does he have?? :D
Hes an actor in the spotlight. He cant wear the same suit more than once :p

Christian Bale just won Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globes. Coming up to stage he shook Andrew Garfield's hand, was kinda cool, a little Batman / Spider-Man meeting !

:awesome::awesome::awesome:

andrew looks much younger than tobey did at that age. that picture sony released of garfield in the spidey outfit, garfield almost looks babyish.

Anybody watch the Golden globes? He seemed pretty humble. funny when he messed up his speech thing

Did anybody notice how nervous/shy Andrew when the camera zoomed in on him when he was nominated, lol? I, myself, don't like ALOT of attention.

I hate alot of attention. Or when all eyes are on me. It's a phobia I have.
