^^ I was just about to post that, lol. Say what you will, but i think it looks fun, considering we have never gotten a slasher game before, lol.

I think it's a such a terrible idea. You're playing a killer killing innocent people for points. It's literally what EVERYONE actually thinks the media's favorite video game punching bag Grand Theft Auto is.

Just such a bad idea.

^^ Yeah, but it's based off of a film. It's notl ike it's replicating somethign that really happened. As for GTA, I think the criticisms for that are BS. I mean, really young kids shouldn't play those games, but still, they rarely cause problems.

I wish they made more videogames like this. You get to play as Freddy/Michael/Jason/Ghostface, GTA style! That game would be so sick!

Hey kickass, is the line:

"Don't **** with the original."

Said by Sidney in the film? Cuz if so that is gonna be SO badass.

- Jow

The full line is

You forgot the most important rule about remakes. Don't **** with the original!

The audience cheered :)

Eh. I love the characters, but because I love the realism just as much. I'm totally okay with any of them going at any time including SIDNEY. Just as long as their is a strong lead character written by Williamson to step in her place and fight Ghostface.

I don't think there could ever be another strong leading character like Sidney for Scream again, it'd be a huge mistake to kill her off and replace her IMO, and that would be the death of the series to me. While I'd be sad to see Gale or Dewey go, I could live without them for the next few films, because to me Sidney has always been the heart of Scream.

Kevin Williamson created Sidney. He'd be creating the new lead. That's enough for me to know that she'd be just as amazing as Sidney.

Kevin Williamson creates kick-ass female leads. Helen Shivers was badass in I Know What You Did Last Summer, Elena, Katherine, and Caroline in Vampire Diaries.

I pretty much trust that that man would create a woman worthy enough to be the new lead.

That doesn't mean it'll work. Even the creator of something can screw up their own creation no matter how talented they may be at what they do.

Eh. I'm sure Williamson would only kill off Sidney if it fit the direction he wanted to go in. And you know that's a direction if he's wanting to go in I'm willing to go in it with him. It makes more sense than 11 different people trying to kill the same girl for me.

^^ I'll admit, it defenitely makes sense to kill her even though I rally don't want it to happen. Nobody survives this long, so I find it hard to believe she'll survive 5th film.

But how invested would we be in a new character taking Sid's place in a 5th and 6th film? Not by much.

And the difference here would be reinvesting into a NEW character. We started off WITH Sidney and Gale. They didn't wedge their way into anyone else's place.

That's certainly true, but it all depends on if this person is introduced in Scream 4 or not for me. I suppose. It just seems pushing it if they do this two more times to Sidney. It already seemed pushing it doing this 4th one, but it seemed like such a good plotline and story that I got excited for it.

Wes Craven and Kevin wpuld know how to make it work. I mean, can people picture Sidney suriving 6 films? As much as i want to, and trust me I do, I just don't see it happening.

They would keep having to make scream films because if it's going to happen six times to Sidney.. unless the killers are connected ... it will never believably end.

Something I'm surprised about is that nobodies actually tried to mimic Scream in real life . That's a good thing but you would think it could happen. People are nuts.

Two kids did pull a Billy and Stu and plot to kill their friends, starting with a girl and her boyfriend. The boyfriend left for a little while and came back to find them still there over her body. Dateline did a special on it.

If they made Scream 5 and it had nothing to do with Sidney Prescott I would be just as interested. I think the concept works on its own but there would have to be references to the previous films of course.

That's scary, did they try to blame the movies?

According to the wikipedia for the Scream series (I know, it's wikipedia but still...) there were several different cases in the late 90s involving kids killing peers, and they were wearing ghostface masks and cited Scream as an influence to their murders.

In one case, two kids killed their mother (or one of their mothers) and they were going to use money to buy ghostface masks and a voice changer and were planning on a full-on Scream killing spree but it never came to fruition. Luckily.

I used to have a voice changer but it was nowhere near the caliber they make it out to be in the movies. I'm just now finding out Scream may actually be semi based on a true story?

I was always worried someone would actually go after Neve Campbell. Stuff like that has happened before.

Oh no this was in 1998 or 1999 so Scream wasn't based off it but the other way around. Sorry if I made it sound otherwise haha.

Or it was their lawyers trying to get the kids off the hook and BLAME THE MOVIES.
