Same for when Scream 4 was announced for me. It didn't dawn on me till later they could go down the remake path.

There is nothing else to tell. The entire cast, setting, story came full circle with scream 4. The idea driving the franchise was always sidney and her mothers death, if you keep going on how believable is it really for this many people to ethier kill her mother or want revenge against sid? Just let it go off into the sunset ala stallone's rambo and rocky. Plus ghostface was never a michael myers or a jason type killer where it was always the same guy.

Yeah, I really don't see how they continue it. Then again I was skeptical of Scream 4, so I wouldn't just write off KW ideas if he has a good one for a fifth film in the series.

I don't mean killing her but making the killings about her like Jill's killings were and not so much about Maureen like the original trilogy's killings were.

I'll tell ya though. Had they kept Jill alive, it would have been a great opening for the killer to kill her.

That would be kind of weird if Ghostface offed their main target in the opening though.


I have no idea where they could go with this. My Scream itch has been fulfilled in the meantime if they don't move forward with this.

Maybe the next Ghostface would have a bigger target than Sid/Jill though? Playing off the legacy of Sidney and Woodsboro etc.

I'll keep thinking about it. But not too much. Right now I'll focus on this coming out on BR and me watching it along with the first two films. If it comes, then it will come. But I won't fret over it all that much.
