Would you love a giant crossover like this? :BA

I would pick an X-Men team consisting of:

Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Shadowcat, Blink, Beast, Iceman.

Would do you think about it?

Iron Man
Captain America
Thor
Hulk
Black Widow
Scarlet Witch
Hawkeye
Quicksilver

vs

Professor X
Wolverine
Cyclops
Colossus
Jean Grey
Nightcrawler
Rogue
Storm

In regards to the Avengers movie franchise, I wouldn't want a crossover

In the comics, I have never understood the concept of X-Men existing in the same world as the Avengers and other non-mutant heroes

By this I mean, mutants are outcasts, feared and hated because they are different to regular humans and hunted by authorities.

Yet, people celebrate the Fantastic 4 (true they developed powers a different way) and other heroes

Is Spider-Man hunted with such distrust?

Why don't the Avengers or S.H.I.E.L.D. speck out in their support?

Or do they?

Good, but you have to have Magneto. That would be the defining scene against Iron Man.

No.

I have all three of the Avengers v. X-Men crossover events and they are all bad in the SyFy Original kinda way. Even in the most recent iteration, everybody acted way out of character: Cap beat up teenage mutants, Cyclops became okay with genocide, as long as it did not happen to mutants, and the list of character deviations goes on and on.

Spider-Man did register with SHIELD. In comparison to the mutants, Spider-Man never leveled a building with his powers...nor could he, if he tried.

in theory it would be cool (if fox and marvel would ever actually let this happen)
but i would imagine it would be very difficult to make a movie with that many heroes
without it feeling very overcrowded. joss did a great job with the avengers
but even with just the avengers and an almost 2.5 hour run time, characters
like thor and hawkeye didn't really get much to do. it's hard to imagine adding
a whole other team of superheroes.

also agree with jonathancrane, i read the most recent avengers vs x-men crossover and it was terrible. particularly because i've always been a big cyclops fan

Here's some interesting feedback on this idea. Several months ago, right around the time Thor:TDW was released on DVD and Blu ray, I decided to get the stand alone DVD of the first Thor film since I only had the 3D Blu-ray combo that had the bare-bare bones DVD. Only place in my area that actually had a copy of the Thor DVD in stock was Toys R Us. So at the checkout the cashier asks me if I saw the new Thor film and what I thought, I said it was all right, I enjoyed it but I was really looking forward to the new Captain America Winter Soldier movie, they replied that it looked cool but what he was really waiting for the most is the Avengers/X-men team up. Now that there is something. The cashier form my perspective was the very definition of the GA, general audience. I replied that's a cool idea, maybe something like "Secret Wars" or "Onslaught" but he wasn't really familiar with the actual comic book arcs. What that shows to me is that there is a demand among the general audience(non comic fans) for an X-men/Avengers team-up crossover flick.

My opinion, if Marvel/Disney/Fox/Sony were to work things out and pull off a crossover epic, I can almost guarantee if it's well made, it'll gross something like $2.7 billion WW easy. It would be one for the record books. Mark my words if they ever pull this off we're looking at a gross north of $2 billion WW. This is something if all parties were to set aside egos and actually work together and work out all the rights and who gets what and what not, they could pull off something extra special in cinema history. They could use some comic booky style plot devices to explain a possible crossover. "Secret Wars" and the Beyonder should be used as a possible template, the Avenger's MCU and the Fox's X-men-verse would be 2 totally separate alternate worlds/universe/dimension and the Beyonder or some similar entity could exist is a place beyond time/space, a nexus of all realities and it puts a pause on the two worlds and spirits away groups of the top heroes and villains from both worlds to compete in contest that if lost would have catastrophic consequences for both or all worlds but if won things would return as if nothing had happened, not unlike the SW arc from the comics.

That's one possible way and if they ever did pull something like that off once then maybe I could see them using something like "Heroes Reborn" or "House of M" as possible "sequel crossovers". The whole multiple worlds/realities, they could get really creative with that. For the most part it shouldn't effect the overall continuities for the separate universes and essentially be more of a "What If" novelty kinda thing. I know it's probably very unlikely but it's fun to speculate. Even if they were to get this together I would say maybe not until something like phase 4 or 5 of the MCU or when the first phase cast decide to start moving on. A lot of people I know first became Marvel fans not from the comics or movies, or even just the animated shows on Fox, but the video games Marvel/X-men vs. Street Fighter/Capcom. That was a big, big deal for a lot of people I know from way back in the day. If or when they make a crossover epic, people will show up.

Honestly I'm all right with Fox having X-Men, DoFP was pretty good although I still don't like how they cut their films for theatrical release and all the multiple Blu-ray exclusive cuts etc. I guess I'm all right with the X-Men being their own separate world/universe from the greater Avenger's MCU and web/TV series. Spidey I could see a case being made to find someway to get him in the MCU at some point, although I'm 50/50 on how Sony's been handling things. Thinking back now I would say ASM-2 was just okay since some time has passed and I've really had a chance to process that film. Hopefully things get better for ASM-3.

^ Why would you hope for that ? You dont like absolute epicness?

While im pretty sure a X-Men / Spidey / MCU crossover will not happen in the near future unless MCU gets all the rights back (which isnt likely to happen anytime soon either) it would definately be THE SINGLE MOST EPIC event in cinema history so far

And quite frankly i dont understand all those people who are against it.

Their reasons are stupid if you ask me. They just CANT / AND WONT see the forest. they keep focusing on the tree.

Their main reason is that if Marvel Studios had all the rights we would get less movies per year.

While now we can get 1 TSMA movie by Sony plus 1 XMEN movie by FOX plus 3 MCU films by Marvel Studios.

What their dont understand is that WE DONT NEED TO GET A SOLO Spidey or XMEN film each year.

We dont need to get a CAP , Iron Man or Thor SOLO FILM each year.

CANT YOU SEE THE POTENTIAL ??

IF Marvel Studios had all the rights

WE COULD GET A FRICKEN LIVE ACTION EARTH MIGHTIEST HEROES movie series.

IF THATS NOT EPIC I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS

Imagine 4 frickin MCU films per year (they already anounced a 3 per year plan they can get to 4 if they had all the characters) HAVING the ability to use ALL CHARACTERS.

Avengers 1 , 2 ,3 ,4

next year A5 , 6,7,8 etc etc etc etc.

They could even name the movies Marvel 1 ,2 ,3 ,4 , 5 ,6 ,7 ,8 or even regular titles that dont necesairly imply anything superhero.and people wouldnt know what the movie is about or who will apper!!!!! just drama / comedies / thrillers etc etc etc with superheros !!!

or adapt comic book storyline and having the synonym title

Days of future past
civil war
secret empire
planet hulk
word war hulk
whatever
whatever
whatever

And having ALL marvel characters show up whereever & whenever they are needed.

I honestly dont understand how people miss this HUGE oppurtunity.

right now we will get 5 marvel movies per year at best.

3 by Marvel Studios 1 from Sony & 1 by FOX. and thats the best case scenario.

As opposed to 4 movies by MCU if they had all the rights. I dont see why the fuss is about.

4 vs 5 isnt that bad. Especially if it is 4 quality vs 5 moderate ones.

We dont need to see 15 SOLO spidey films . who needs that ? we already had 5 solo spidey films. its a waste of potential. have a completely shared MCU and have spidey show up when he is needed.

One grand master plan one grand shared cinematic superhero universe. simple.
And you only compromise to 1 film less per year if you do at all. since we are not getting 1 film per year by FOX yet and we arent getting 1 film per year by Sony either. at least not for 2 or 3 years.

id rather get 4 shared universe marvel films per year than 3 mcu 1 xmen/ff4 & 1 spidey.

Happy with them separate (for now). GotG probably wouldn't have been made if Marvel had all the rights nor Ant Man.

Also the world would be too full of super heroes. People would be asking where were the X-men during the battle of New York etc...

Lastly it creates competition and different visions of how super hero films are made. Marvel will look at the other studios and see what work and what doesn't and vice a versa. They will also try new things to get an advantage.

Wolverine vs. Ironman (rooting for Wolverine)
Rogue vs. Captain Marvel (rooting for Rogue)
Colossus vs. Thor (rooting for Thor)
Cyclops vs. Captain America (rooting for Cyke)
Gambit vs. Quicksilver (I'm torn between both)
Nightcrawler vs. Spiderman (go Kurt!)
Psylocke vs. Black Widow (go Psylocke!)

X-Men win.

I wouldn't mind. Make it a two-parter like Infinity War, have the characters shifting between realities and the MCU Quicksilver can meet his alternate universe counterpart.

I always imagined Age of Apocalypse is such a huge success it does better than or just as good as AoU. Because of this Fox calls out Marvel. "It's official Avengers are dead. X-Men is better."

And Kevin Feige is all like,

"Aw hell naw."

So they meet up and discuss on a deal.

"One time only bring you're best writers Avengers vs X-Men. Let's see what the fans think." Fox CEO says.

And the first movie involves them starting the war between the two teams each team written by different writers one from Fox writing X-Men and one from Marvel writing Avengers. After that, the second movie contains most of the fights the outcome decided by the fans depending one which team they think was better in the first movie.

Plot could be done ala House of M with Scarlet Witch snapping. Possibly after the events of Infinity War maybe she tried to get inside Thanos's head but Thanos retaliated much to her surprise and luterally broke her mind. She goes crazy and she fuses the two realities in which the X-Men and Avengers exist.

Now seing as there are two versions of Quicksilver but Scarlet Witch is the one from MCU her mind will eliminate the Fox QS for the time being as the dimesions are fued. As well as this versions Wanda who is a youngling at the time of DoFP and I assme is no older in Apocalypse. The entire plot will focus on the Avengers and X-Men deciding whether r not they should kill Scarlet Witch and the resulting conflict over that. Also remeber Fox has FF too so they'll be a part of it. But let's assume Fox made a cossover with the FF and X-Men before this and it didn't end well so the FF take the Avengers side. But Magneto and his Brotherhood despite normally being enemies.

The X-Men want to kill this Scarlet Witch as she earased the Fox Quicksilver and altered alot of reality as well thus is too dangerous to live. Magneto is angry because Scarlet killed his son and daughter. Also yes, I thought of the fact that technically MCU Quicksilver and Wanda could be Magneto's children as well. But he doesn't care, he wants HIS Quicksilver and Wanda back. Thus he convinces Charles of the situation at hand and he convinces his X-Men and at first they attempt to debate a possible way out of it. Xavier tries to go into her mind and help but Wanda nearly kills him. One of the X-Men Team throw the first hit after this and the war begins. But the war taks place in the second movie giving fans plenty of time to see the first film and vote on who should win.

Here are some fights I'd like to see take place. Obviously all of them can't happen so the ones that I hope for are bold.

-Emma Frost vs Invisible Woman(My Vote:Emma)
-Thor vs Storm(My Vote: Thor)
-Captain America vs Cyclops(My Vote: Captain America quickly wins, but they both realize Scarlet Witch is the more pressing matter)
-Iron Man vs Magneto(My Vote: Iron Man, The crowd will be surprised when Iron Man demagnetizes his armor for this. Still won't be easy for Stark)
-Rogue vs Captain Marvel(My Vote: Rogue if she can hold on to Carol but if Crol gets one good punch before Rogue can it's over)
-Quicksilver vs Nightcrawler(This one is hard to determine)
-Spider-Man vs Toad(My Vote:Spider-Man)
-Wolverine vs Hulk(My Vote: Hulk, but whoever wins, we win because Hulk vs Wolverine!)
-Xavier vs Nick Fury(My Vote: Tie, An in mind battle would be great, ofcourse snce Xavier can't walk he brings Fury into a realm in his mind where he can so they can have a fair hand to hand fight. But they are both far too smart and will realize they have to make a decision before Scarlet Witch tears apart reality)
-Thing v Colossus(My Vote: Thing, he naturally has more experience)
-Falcon vs Angel(My Vote: Angel)
-Beast vs Black Panther(My Vote: Black Panther)
-Human Torch vs Ice Man(My Vote: Tie, but if I must choose Torch)-Gambit vs Hawkeye(Vote: Hawkeye)
-Mystique vs Black Widow(My Vote: Black Widow)

8 Fight over the cours of what I'd imagine to be a 2 hour 30min movie at max and 1hr 45min at minimum. Seems substantial. Also if the Four are joining the Avengers side, just give us a single scene of Hulk and Thing takin quick shots at each other. Hulk bumps into Thing.Thing says watch it, Hulk ignores. Quick 40 second mini brawl but then Cap cuts in and stops it as they have a life to protect. In the end.
Nick Fury and Mr. Fantastic have developed a solution they use Xavier with and SHIELD Fixed Cerebro accompanied by Emma Frost incase things go wrong. They go inside Scaret Witches mind which at this point has begun breaking down and she'll probably kill herself and simultaneously both realities before they can save her. They use it to completely erase Thanos's damge from her mind as well as any traumatic events that may have happened from Infinity War onwards. Right after Xavier can get more control and commands her to set everything back to normal which she does.

Afterwards she cannot remember anything from AvX or Infinty War. Or anything about Thanosat all. Quicksilver takes her away and they go to live a peacefullife as the Avengers hope she never snaps like that again. Foxverse Quicksilver and Wanda are restored as well.

In an alternate ending if Fox decides they want more Avengers and X-Men/FF crossovers like Secret Wars or Coming of Galactus, Nick Fury and Xavier can't do anything and decide it best to Sedate her until further notice. Perhaps Doctor Strange is working on a possible spell that could restore both realities. Completely locking her away and putting her to sleep for good an permanently further notice and the dimensions just remain fused and everyone has to learn to adapt and live with it.

That's my plan. Also have Deadpool appear in the end. Like "Got dammit I missed everything! Hope you enjoyed the movie folks!"

Feige Open to an Avengers, X-Men Movie Crossover

The Marvel Studios boss said the big screen pairing is unlikely, but you never know what the future has in store.

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige might have ruled out any potential team up between Fox and Marvel, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s given up on the idea of the the X-Men or the Fantastic Four ever meeting the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe entirely.
In a recent interview with Jeremy Lasky, co-founder of Perception, the animation and deign studio responsible for most of the technology animation in Marvel Studios films, as well as the studio’s recent logo redesign, Feige broached the possibility that characters not already in the MCU could eventually find their way there in the future.

“My goal is to replicate the experience that, you know, comic book fans have reading the books up on the screen and we’ve been able to accomplish that beyond my wildest dreams over the last ten years,” Feige said.

The Marvel boss went to discuss one of the most notable long shot acquisitions in the studio’s history: a certain Wall-Crawler who has made his way into two mainline Avengers movies.

“Spidey in Civil War and in the upcoming Infinity War is yet another dream that I didn’t even dare to talk about publicly because I thought the odds of it were very slim,” Feige said. “So, no plans beyond that right now for any of the few remaining characters that aren’t already in the MCU, but I always say ‘never say never,’ who knows what can happen in the future?”

Arriving July 7, director Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.

I'm on your same page here. Keep them separate. Completely different worlds they seem to be in.

I would like it if there was an X-Men franchise I liked. As is, the X-Men is built around Jackman, and he's gone, so... no thanks.

I'd rather see them fight the Brotherhood!

Magento
Juggernaut
Toad
Mystique
Sabertooth
Unus the Untouchable
Multiple Man
Pyro
Blob

I wouldn't want a film like this.

I love the idea of an Avengers/X-Men crossover; I
thought that Lego Marvel Superheroes did that quite well.
I'd want something along the lines of that, but not
an actual battle between the X-Men and the Avengers.

That doesn't even sound appealing, IMO.

I would love a crossover even like this. But it's hard to pick the roster. I would want the Fox cast, for sure, but there's just so many, I'd have to pick across different timelines in the X-Universe:

Wolverine (Jackman) & X-23 (Kinny)
Deadpool (Reynolds)
Magneto (Fassbender)
Magik (Anya Taylor Johnson, in uniform)
Beast (Hoult)
Colossus (CGI version)
Shadowcat (Ellen Page)
Storm (Berry)
Cyke (Marsden)
Emma Frost (recast)
Professor X (Stewart in a hover chair -- sorry to McAvoy, hover chair's were not around back in his time)
Jean (Sophie Turner)

If it wouldn't be too much, I'd add...

Rogue & Gambit (Paquin & ???) -- would love to see Captain Marvel vs. Rogue on screen, btw.
Iceman (Ashmore in a comic-accurate portrayal of a single, flirtatious guy)
Psylocke (Munn)
Cable (Brolin)
