No, he isn't slept on. But a lot do wish that he was getting that Jay-Z/Kanye/Wayne/Drake level of stardom.

I take back anything negative I said about YG's My Krazy Life. Relistened to it and really enjoyed it. I only dislike 2 tracks.
Same with Schoolboy's Oxymoron. I didnt think much of it, the first time I listened to it, but recently re-listened to it and loved it

I did not think Iggy sold that many albums. Singles sure, but albums? Damn

You guys seen Australian actress Abbie Cornish rapping?

Cornish is supporting Nas on his Australian tour under her rap name Dusk next month.

Cornish has appeared in films such as the Robocop remake, Limitless, Sucker Punch, Seven Psychopaths and Stop-Loss.

Lol no way. I like her as an actress.

Is she any good?

Interesting.

Speaking of actors who rap Riz Ahmed from Nightcrawler, Four Lions and Ill Manors is a solid rapper.

Ahmed is one half of the rap duo Swet Shop Boys, along with the former Das Racist rapper Heems.

Ahmed also releases music under the name Halflife

Does anyone think it's a non-issue that some Black Rappers are angry about White People rap?

It is a non issue. Most of them, even the ones I don't like, come off as respecting the culture or at least joking around (Riff Raff).
Others, including myself, say Iggy doesnt because of how she presents herself and her fake accent.

That being said, not everybody raps because they love it or respect the culture. Black or white. It's just that Q-Tip and Azalea Banks want to be jerks about it and only go after white rappers

Only One with Paul McCartney?

Yeah

I enjoyed the Shady Cypher a couple weeks earlier, especially Joell Ortiz' part in it. Not a big fan of 'posse' type collaborative albums (prefer either a solo with or without features, or a duo album a la Redman and Method Man, or a straight up crew album), but I might check some of those Shady XV tracks out. Maybe.

Didn't know that Tip was ever casting shade on white rappers... If he did, that's disappointing. I always had him pegged as one of the most open-minded emcees. But then I thought the same of Mos until I heard Rock 'n' Roll (but that's fifteen years ago and maybe he's adjusted his views since).

Listen to or read the lyrics of Georgie Porgie by Tribe Called Quest ft. Brand Nubian.

It's literally a track how they find out their friend is gay and them disowning him

^I had no idea. I just looked up the lyrics, especially zooming in on Tip and Phife's verses. That is some ignorant sh.t.

I never heard about until a week or two ago. I was really shocked.

Not really Brand Nubian because theyve had that angle before

coldly anticipating tetsuo and youth. although i'm already disappointed to see that crack and drizzy's law aren't on it.

GET DA F*** OUTTA HERE!!!! :whatever:

I always felt like Eminem took the wrong approach to hip hop when he got back in the game in 2009. Instead of dissing the ish out of kanye, weezy, drizzy, and nicki, he decided to work with them. I think it would have been much more interesting and beneficial to hip hop if he started feuds with all of them instead. that was much needed for hip hop.

he even admitted to his cowardice on 'talkin 2 myself' on the recovery album. smh.

Nah I think the dissing wouldve been lame because it wouldve just seemed like a desperate guy who was out of the spotlight looking for attention.
I will say Em's collabs with Wayne did bring out the best of Wayne. Im still not that big a fan of them but they werent bad. Weirdly I dont think Kanye and Em have done a track which sucks because that wouldve been good.

Hip Hop is a friendly game now. No one wants to be that guy being all negative and dissing everyone. That hurt 50 Cent in the end and it's hurting Azalea Banks now musically.

Em does need to stay away from all these pop hooks though. They really brought down Marshall Mathers LP 2
