Daredevil Season 2 Confirmed for 2016!

I would think their ultimate goal would be for ALL of these shows to be successful enough for 2nd seasons, so I'd think they must be at least considering the possibility of having more than 2 a year.

Just heard the news and this has me super excited!

No Goddard or DeKnight has me a little concerned. Hopefully they keep it grounded like season 1 and don't try to get too connected to the rest of the MCU.

I'm glad, but I hope in 2016 we get Luke Cage, Daredevil and Iron Fist. Pushing back Iron Fist in favor of DD is the right financial decision (kind of like making Iron Man 2 before Thor and Captain America), but I'd rather see an Iron Fist show still come out in 2016, with The Defenders in early 2017.

I highly doubt at this point Marvel is doing this on a strictly financial basis. They have plenty of money to throw around these days and I wouldn't be surprised if everything is still on the same track with season 2 of DD added in there

I'm thinking they'll keep it at 2 a year. So DD and Jessica Jones this year, DD and Luke Cage next year and Iron Fist and Defenders in 2017. That is of course if Jessica Jones and Luke Cage aren't huge successes like Daredevil.

No reason to keep it at 2 a year if they are going to all be as mind blowing as this. Just like the movies are cranking up to 3 and maybe even 4 a year after IW1&2 if they are hits and of great quality no reason not to give the fans what they want. I'm sure they are getting pretty good returns with this Netflix deal and having more than one show in production at a time is not hard when they focus on different cast and whatnot. Imagine if they drop a new marvel show every couple of months!

Ok, awesome... so one of the new showrunners, Marco Ramirez, wrote episode 6 'Condemned'. That might have been my favorite now that I have seen the series twice. I'm less bummed about DeKnight leaving now. Maybe they can work in more Vlad.

I guess season 2 will have some connection to the event of Civil War.

Glad to hear this! Excellent news but Im wondering where does Defenders fit in this. Would it come out before DD season 2 or after? Oh well, I hope DD is still apart of the team.

I'm curious as well. I knew there'd be a second season but I'd thought they'd schedule it after the Defenders. I'm hoping this convinces them to get a second unit and film these series two at a time instead of just one after the other.
