I did notice how obvious it was in this season how weak Barry is. He could easily do things one minute then back track and ignore the solution the next minute. No idea why the writers are really stretching this origins story so much so that it's becoming hard to watch the same things happening to Barry. He relies too much on his team. I realize Zoom is different and he's never faced someone as experienced as him, but with other villains, these really novice moves, I've actually seen this show a couple times on The Soup last season. I'm surprised Joel McHale hasn't featured any battle scenes lately. The writers could do better. I know it's the second season but can Barry have a moment where he behaves like he knows what he's doing?

Yeah, it is a bit annoying. It's like every episode reverts to "Okay, Cisco, how do I beat this guy?" It's like, Barry, you're the really smart guy with superpowers... figure it out yourself!

Gorilla FREAKING CITY! seriously this show continues to impress vastly!

Stephen Amell Weighs in on the Future of "Flash"/"Arrow"/"Legends" Crossovers

"Flash" Winter Finale Teases Wally West Debut, Trickster & Captain Cold

MARK HAMILL, WENTWORTH MILLER AND LIAM MCINTYRE RETURN; KEIYNAN LONSDALE JOINS THE CAST AS WALLY WEST — When Mark Mardon AKA The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) returns to break Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) and James Jesse AKA The Trickster (guest star Mark Hamill) out of Iron Heights, Barry (Grant Gustin) must stop these rogues from taking over Central City during Christmas.  Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) meet Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale).  Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode written by Andrew Kreisberg (#209).

I've been thinking (again) Barry is obviously going to need help taking on Zoom and it seems quite obvious that Jay will help him when the time comes but maybe so will Wally West. Now the problem there is Jay doesn't have his powers and I'm assuming Wally doesn't have any yet either. Anyone think there's a chance of another Particle accelator explosion or something similar that leads to Jay getting his powers back and Wally obtaining his?
Earth 2 well's has a plan to give jay back his power's and we'll see what happens with wally it's possible he was already in town for the particle accelerator explosion

I just finished catching up with The 100 (GREAT show for anyone who's interested) and there's one episode where two of the main characters are going up against a raging Gorilla. The CGI was surprisingly well done and all I could think was "I hope we get an action scene like this is the Flash with Grodd." Especially since I imagine Flash has a bigger budget to work with than The 100.

Love the 100. If they ever bring Wonder Woman into the CWverse Marie Avgeropoulos/Octavia would be perfect to play her.

I feel like the problem with the CGI on these shows is not that they cannot do it well. It's that it's damn expensive, so they really have to pick their spots when it comes to Grodd and characters like him. It's also why King Shark basically got a (cool) 30 second cameo. It was either do an episode centered around him, or around Grodd and they'll pick Grodd every single time given that choice.

The producers have pretty much said as much, full CGI characters like Grodd and King Shark are expensive, King Shark may have only gotten 30 seconds, but they still had to go to a lot of work to create him at all. That said, since they've created the CG model of King Shark, I hope it means that giving him a role in a future episode might be a little less expensive now and isn't completely out of the cards.

Speaking of CG models, this is a minor thing and definitely just a nitpick, but Barry's CGI model is still sporting the pilot cowl, which has been replaced since episode 8 last season, minor problem, but it bugs me every time I see it, they also keep reusing the shot of him running that was used during the pilots tornado sequence.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who's having a issue with this as well. I really don't understand or know why they kexpect reusing old running shots of Barry (in costume) when his current outfit is different from Season one.

And like you said, it somewhat takes me out of the moment when they use CGI models of the flash where his cowl is still the same design that it was from the pilot (till episode 9 of Season 1).

Is it really that hard to film new shots of Grant running behind a green screen?

It's not exactly the CG model which is a pain in the ass. It's lighting that model to include it seamlessly into the scene fully animated. It just takes a lot of time to light properly even for one frame.

I know there's more to it than just updating the CG model, but they've had the new mask for a year now, and it's kind of jarring that CG Flash still isn't consistent with the actual suit.

To be fair, most people in the audience don't really notice those things....

Polux.

I wonder if we're going to get an Earth 2 Patty?

So I was rewatching Flash with my friend because he just started and they took alot of elements from Spider-Man or maybe its just me.

For example
-In the episode with the steal guy Flash is fighting inside the school to keep a girl save with a physically larger opponent like Peter was in TASM. Theres also a scene where Flash get thrown against two lockers. Just like Peter did in TASM during the lizard fight in school.

-When Flash starts getting cocky with his powers and making fun of the robber. Just like Peter in TASM with the robber and the "small knives scene."

-There is a vilain with gauntlets on his hand that can blast destructive shockwaves in one epis. I dont know about you guys but. This guy seemed well overly similar to the Shocker of the Spider-Man comics.

-Theres also a scene where Flash runs at a missile and redirects it. Similar to the the scene in TASM 2 where Spider-Man with the sewer top and the Rhino(however that scene happened before TASM2 so thats different).

-Theres also the episode where Flash looses his powers and doesnt. Get it back until his friends life is in danger. Much like in SM2 where Peter looses his powers.

Again maybe its all just my point of view. But I just wanted to see if anyone felt the same.

Wells yellow suit might be modified to be used by Wally when he becomes Kid Flash
