vs Captain Marvel..............on Ego

Who you got peeps?
Captain Marvel. She would just blast straight through him/his planet and destroy his core. Just like she destroyed Thanos and Ronan's ships.

EGO wins, unless Captain Marvel gets to the core while battling his avatar and manages to evade him and destroy the core.

I'll be that first jerk to say Captain Marvel loses. :oldrazz:
Getting to his core would be easy, she can travel at the speed of light, right? I can't see Ego being able to stop her. She would obliterate everything in her path.

I’ll go for CM as well although I don’t see it being as one sided as others do as that suggests Carol already has the knowledge of Ego’s weakness.

Smashing the Acusers ships is a hell of impressive feat, probably one of the best we’ve seen in the MCU so far but I don’t think that necessarily means she could just blow Ego to bits like she did them as Marvel haven’t really gave any planet busting level feats (bar Surtur if I remember correctly and Asgard was more of a disc than traditional planet)

On the other side I can’t see a clear route for Ego to put Carol down for good so she’s gotta take this.

This is my question, as well. Does Captain Marvel know that she has to kill the core to win? Because if she doesn't know going into it I'm not sure how she's supposed to find out along the way.

Yes, it's difficult to imagine Ego, powerful as he is, coming up with a way to truly destroy Carol. But I can imagine him, after a WHOLE lot of trial and error, being able to create some sort of prison that could possibly hold her, maybe even something immune to her photon blasts. He is basically a god on his turf. More or less.

Meanwhile, while Carol COULD easily smash straight through him in no time flat if she knew his weakness, if she doesn't know then there's literally nothing she can do that matters. She can smash a billion living rock avalanches into dust. He'll just make more.

So I guess I'll go Ego by a hair. But if the official word is Carol does know his weakness, then I change my vote.

Dammit. But on a more serious note, once she realizes he's a planet, whether she's aware of his core or not she would trying to blow him up as that's the only logical thing to do to destroy a planet. That means flying through it.

Honestly, when I saw the matchup my first thought was " Who cares? " but after a little more thought I had to go with Carol.

I was thinking that smashing Thanos ship was an even bigger feat

After Carol destroyed Thanos' ship single handed then I can't see Ego being able to do much to hold her back. She's basically MCU's Superman, and I feel like Superman would take down Ego.

I just dont see Ego having powerful enough attacks to seriously harm her or to resist her strength and photon blasts.

Who you got peeps?

Without any clear counter I can think of for his phasing like they had in Infinity War I gotta give the edge to Vision.

Even though Malekith seemed to have a greater deal of mastery over his stone than Vision did I still don’t think we’ve ever seen one stone overpower another.

We actually have no idea what Malekith can do. I wanted to do him in a match but he has never done anything except give out orders. The only time we've seen him in action was with the reality stone.

I go on the basis of observed feats and neither have shown exactly what they can do at full power but I’ll choose Vision on this basis.

Bit late but I would've gone with Carol as well.

As for this one, Vision takes the win. Vision's phasing should do the trick since Maletkith never used the reality stone to it's full extent.

I don't know man. That reality stone can probably affect his phasing but who knows. Malekith did seem to know how to use it pretty well.

Okay.

Here's my logic

Vision as of Age of Ultron is about equal to Thor ( Age of Ultron) without Mjolnir ( I base this on both of them being able to go toe to toe with Ultron,Ultron Prime, and Vision being able to get a slightly upper hand) Thor ( as of Dark World) was able to go toe with Malekith and hold his own, mostly without Mjolnir.

In the words of Thor " With all that power I thought you'd hit harder."

So Vision = Thor (Age of Ultron) without Mjolnir

Thor ( Age of Ultron) we assume is at least equal to Thor (Dark World) if not slightly more powerful ( there is a pattern of MCU heroes becoming more powerful in subsequent appearances).

Therefore Vision is probably slightly > Malekith.

Yes Malekith contains the power to transform matter into dark matter ( which could possibly affect the entire universe, eventually) but never manages to use it for anything interesting.

As 2 final points I would mention that Kurse actually pushes Thor much harder than Malekith ( he almost batters Thor to death) and that I am one of the five people on this forum that actually liked The Dark World.

So in short Vision at least 7/10.

Eh, the most that Malekith does with the reality stone is firing projectiles at Thor. He's not as creative as Thanos in IW, who disposed of the GOTG in pretty quick fashion.

That all makes sense. The only part I would contest is the number of people liking TDW being so out of control here. :hehe:

Okay, fine. There are at least 2 other people who liked TDW, maybe 3.

In all honesty I cannot understand the hate that movie gets. I remember watching it in the cinema and thinking:
- pretty good fight scenes ( especially, " holy crap, Kurse nearly killed Thor !")
- Hiddleston steals every scene, and Loki gets a good story arc,
- Hopkins and Russo do a lot with a little
-the Dark Elves whole look was cool and creepy
,including their tech and ships.
-Good pacing
- I liked the sorcery/science tech of the Asgardians.
- Hemsworth was more likeable than he was in Thor
- The Warrirors three get something useful to do.

On the negative I thought :

- Kat Dennings and the comedy sidekicks were a bit much

-Eccleston was disappointing as Malekith, and the use of Dark Elvish language diminished the impact of his lines ( sometimes it works, like in LOTR, sometimes it doesn't)

- the final confrontation was a mixed bag, there were bits of silliness mixed in with Eccleston's deadpan performance which didn't fit well together. If they were going to play it tongue in cheek, they should have stuck with that.

All in all not a bad film IMO. Where are all the Thor fans to back me up on this one ? Come on @Mjolnir Reborn , arise and summon the Asgardian horde ( all 2 of them).
