Huh. This movie is peaking my interest more and more as time goes on. Are they just going to have this version of him be a corrupt politician or will they add any sort of reference or foreshadowing to Two Face?

So, as it is... Eventually, the villains themselves will end up "creating" their own nemesis, their remedy, their Batman per se.

A slow-burn story similar to Joker set in the same universe about a young Bruce slowly becoming Batman to save Gotham from the rogues could work. Something like him choosing to fight them with their same showmanship.

I wonder what the Bruce from this world would be like. Would he be as disturbed as Arthur? Would he become too a political figure and gain a similar cult of followers"?

To be honest, I would dread Batman actually being a thing in these movies because they would likely use the "Batman just beats up poor and mentally ill people" twitter discourse nonsense as their take on the character.

If Joker 2 is successful. I would not rule out a Batman in Joker 3. Some how it would have time jump.

It always say that Cavill didn't reach his potential as Superman (which I don't agree with...) but for me, if there is really one actor whose abilities have been wasted in the DCEU, it's Margot Robbie.
I'm sure she could have done something stronger if the Harley Quinn adaptation she was given hadn't been stripped of all its tragedy to become a sort of female Deadpool... Too bad.

Definitely! Beyond the look which I like and is perfectly in line with Phoenix's Joker, that little something crazy she can get in her eyes, that could really work wonders here.

I don't know if this movie needed a sequel, but clearly they have some stuff to offer us!

I recently finished rewatching all of BTAS/TNBA, including of course the fantastic Mad Love. There is such a gut-wrenching, (as you say) tragic story there, if only someone had the ****ing ****s to put it on the screen.
