I just read they DID release him. This is going to be interesting. There are some teams that could really use him and it'll be relatively cheap.
Like I said, if I'm a team with a pretty good RB, I'm keeping him AND trying to sign Elliot. Austin is a fine RB so why not relieve some of the stress on him and keep some of that tread on his tires?I heard if the Chargers trade Eckler away, Elliott could be a possible replacement.

Didn't know that and, as a simple, humble, follower of the Silver and Black, don't really like the Chargers.....so screw San Diego.....I mean LA. I think the new, smart approach to RBs is to get a couple that'll help each other out. It doesn't cost that much and will help your offense more than most realize. Ekeler and Elliot would be a boon for their offense.Eckler asked the Chargers if he could speak to other teams about a trade. Eckler wants a contract extension...Chargers won't give it to him.
The Jets could be a damn good team with even a slipping Rodgers at QB as long as they don't have to give up too much to get him. Also, they don't have a lot of cap space and in order to bring Rodgers on, they'll have to do some shaking up of their roster.I'm very happy that the Jets will be signing Aaron Rodgers because the Jets fans are damn loyal except haven't seen much frutiful season on the field after the Jets defeated a favored Colts team in a Super Bowl.
Even the New York Mets known for glorious choking have had more prosperity than the New York Jets including they have improved since they've been making the Playoffs consistently this decade.
Yeah.....The NFC north suddenly looks like it might be pretty tough. Chicago has done really, really well for itself. That move down to 9 is looking like a treasure trove of goodies. Picking up Moore was just icing on the cake (and pretty thick icing too). I can honestly see GB as the bottom team in the division. Man, things change fast. The year before last, the NFC West looked like a juggernaut, with the East looking like S***. A year later, the East ended up as the strongest division and now the North looks like it is going to be very formidable. We won't talk about the South. LOLMeanwhile, very quietly, the Detroit Lions are having a killer off-season: CB Cam Sutton and Safety CJ Gardner-Johnson both signed, instantly turning their secondary from a weakness to a strength. Couple that with their two first round picks this year and a likely easy schedule as a result of missing the playoffs, and, yeah, things are looking very bright in the Motor City.

I wish them well though.....I tend to root for the underdog and the NY fans haven't had a lot to cheer about.
Yeah. They just traded down about 30 spots and got a threat to help out Cooper. Now if Cooper can just come through......I like this move for the Browns. Browns have had an impressive off-season
While you never know, I think you're probably right. At some point, Jackson is going to drive his trade value down enough that it'll be worth it for someone. The other thing is that if the Ravens franchise him, he's gonna be making a whole, whole lot of $$$ because the position pays so well. I wonder if he pulls a Cousins....that seems like the most likely scenario. There's only a few teams that could trade for Jackson and have the cap space for a long term deal. Is it worth giving up all that draft capital for him to just be injured again?
I don't think the Ravens budge on trading him. This is just gonna be another LeVeon Bell situation I think.
