DC Animation “My Adventures with Superman” in the works at Adult Swim & Max

Caught part one, will watch part two tomorrow but definitely enjoyable. I'm really liking their characterization for Clark and I'm down for more adventures from this trio (Clark, Lois and Jimmy)

The anime influence is unique and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet but I think it'll grow on me

I can’t believe I was so slow to catch onto this, but, after pointing out the “Jor-El looking like Big Boss from MGS3” trivia for this show in my previous post, I just realized what this version of Slade Wilson/Deathstroke reminds me of. He’s Young Revolver Ocelot from MGS3.

Think about it. Young, cocky upstart proficient in a specialized weapon set who is obviously very skilled, good at his job and can hold his own in a fight, but his overconfidence causes him to be bested and has not yet reached the legendary status as the character we will come to know him as.

...what shows had a black gay friend who would never be an option for the female?

I was talking about movies, but for shows; Smallville, Veronica Mars, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt come to mind. (First 2 aren't gay, but same point)

Yeah episode 2 was even better and it's nice to see the story progressing. I'll admit I didn't realize that was Slade Wilson at first and it's an interesting character design but that seems to be what they're going with.

Judging Amy?

I am literally 1 and a half minutes into the first episode (spoiler for that, I guess lmao)

Child Clark Kent just ran to save someone about to wrap their car around a tree, with absolutely zero hesitation, despite not even knowing he had powers. I have never been so quickly ****ing sold on an interpretation of a comic character in my life

I enjoyed the episode. Lois is really growing on me. An interesting take on Intergang don’t know if I like the choice but I guess they want everyone but Waller to be young. Is this the same crew that did the animation for Netflix’s Voltron?

It is the same animation studio, Studio Mir, yes. There is one producer from Voltron here, I believe.

Screw Superman & Lois. THIS show needs its own section.

raw

Liver Wire and Silver Banshee are soo hot/cute its criminal

Trying not to see the resemblance to a Teletubby when they show Lois’ face in profile. Trying not to see it. Trying…

Best part for me was right after the fight with Livewire, how Clark did a super speed clean up of the battle scene; turning the upended cars back over, etc. That’s the Superman I need in my life these days.

Bishounen Slade is still something I'm not fully used to. :cheeky:

I do like that Superman's Rogue's Gallery isn't all fully formed and competent.

I liked Silver Banshee and the proto-Intergang. They remind me of the Horde trio of Lonnie, Rogelio and Kyle in She-ra.

Going to be fun going through all his powers for power ups. Which I am curious about, lorewise. Because we see Krypton's sun turned red, from yellow, which kind of throws some traditional lore out.
