Black Widow News and Speculation Thread

1000s of people that won‘t spoil the secrets of a not yet released movie...nah not gonna happen
Even if they have contracts not saying anything...at least one person could spoil the ending
We‘re talking about a lot (spoiled) kis, not journalists who know, what happens if they ignore an embargo after a press release

Just builds more anticipation for the next actual MCU movie I guess. Around that time we would have sat for like 1yr and 7 months since Endgame and Spider-Man. I wonder if Sony will delay doing anything with Spider-Man or if they will try to continue and not get back with Marvel/Disney.
It was already a long gap even before the virus, but quite appropriate given the end of the 3 phases. Now it’s been extended so much that the next MCU film will feel like a really big deal.

I‘m pretty sure this will be released in November, no matter if its theatrical or digital - Marvel Studios can‘t risk to have absolutely no revenue stream in 2020
With a digital release, they‘ll have at least something on the have side this year

I agree. All it takes is one person to mention to a friend who puts it on Instagram and everyone finds out.

It is going to happen, I am already barely online in terms of looking up stuff so I feel I will be fine avoiding online spoilers. It will be the issue if someone at my work or a friend brings up something from the movie.

We will know once Tenet comes out. Pretty sure that is the 1st movie they are testing to see how theaters open up. Feel like the theaters may only sell a certain amount of seats and rows, maybe every other row. Maybe a bunch of places will bring back drive thrus I would think those can work the best, not the same audience feel though.

I knew all that **** Pugh was denying was just misdirection.

Not interested in passing the "baton". I'm here to watch the Black Widow and herstory, not to see her get replaced. But oh well. I have never liked Marvel's legacy characters.

with the numbers for the virus rising, I am hoping that Black Widow gets released directly to Disney Plus.

Save it to February or May of neXt year.

I refuse to believe a MCU film will just head to streaming. Its not like Marvel Studios are halfway done filming their original 2021 films. Everything's getting delayed anyway.

The movie has already lost all of its hype with the merchandise sitting on the shelves, gathering dust. It would make sense for Disney to push it on to Disney Plus.

Looks like things are looking bad for movie theaters:

California Shuts Down All Movie Theaters, Restaurants Due to COVID-19 Surge

Black Widow will be delayed for a while.

And you could say that to most 2020 movies that are supposed to hit the cinemas as there's a pandemic.

Releasing it straight to D+ doesn't guarantee profit for the studios either.

Something like Bill & Ted 3 will likely end up on streaming. Black Widow I don't think will unless it become apparent that theaters are closed forever.

I don't believe that, this would be the 1st MCU movie since Endgame. This starts off phase 4 and the future so I believe hype will still surround the movie. Add in the possibility that when theaters reopen this could be released around that time. People will want to finally see a movie after all of this, a theater experience with a big movie will still be a different experience.

or drive in movies start ramping up over the country again and that will be the way we view it.

Far From Home?

The end had Nick Fury in the S.W.O.R.D station - that set pretty much up Phase 4 of the MCU not the SUOMC
