I thought we could have a separate cast thread for the inevitable Trump-Ukraine scandal movie that isn't mixed in with the F'up chapters of American history thread.
Also I decided to put it in the politics forum (because it is politics) because we were talking about it in the other thread, and because people in the film forum might not know all these characters.
I'm not sure who I would have for Trump. I did want Jon Voight but it's unlikely he would ever play the part.
However, here are some suggestions for the other characters:
John Goodman as AG Bill Barr
Timothy Hutton as Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney
He'll have to cut his hair
Robert Duvall as Rudi Giuliani
Gregory Itzin as Adam Schiff, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee:
Jessica Walter as Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi
Sam Elliott as John Bolton (Former National Security Advisor)
He'll have to trim his moustache.
Laura Benanti as FLOTUS Melania
She can play it less comedic.
Diane Lane as Marie Yovanovitch (Former ambassador to Ukraine)
Josh Brolin as Joseph Maguire (Director of the National Counterterrorism Center)
Enver Gjokaj as Ukraine President Volodomir Zelensky:
Matt Lucas as UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson
He can wear a wig
Matthais Schoenaerts as Russian President Vladimir Putin
Christopher Lloyd as Bernie Sanders (Democratic candidate)
Harry Lennix as Former POTUS Barrack Obama:
Diane Keaton as former Secretary of State and FLOTUS Hillary Clinton
Need ideas for Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Bill Taylor, Alexander Vindman, Gordon Sondland, Rick Perry, Fiona Hill, Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo, Lindsey Graham, Mitt Romney, Mitch McConnell and others.
