Those are my points:
1- Wade Wilson's history has been altered by "Days of Future Past" (1973). In the original timeline, Logan was a member of 'Team X' (1971-1973). Wade was 20 years old or so during that phase. The final fight of "X-Men Origins" is set in 1979, 6 years later.
This means that Wade could be 45 at the time "Deadpool 1" is set (1998), after all. Food for thought.
2- In "Deadpool 2" we can see the 1993's roster of the X-Men, minus Jean Grey/Phoenix. They still look young. It could be 2000 or so.
Technology is not a problem, the X-Men movies always showed a far more advanced technology. It's an alternate universe from ours.
