I've always been partial to his laugh after "I'm a man of my word."

That entire scene where he interrogates the fake Batman is creepy as hell. So many incredible Joker scenes in that movie. Heath and the Nolan brothers really knocked it out of the park.

In subsequent movies, I'd keep the theatrical flair to the lackey uniforms and use liveleak cartel execution vids as inspiration for how Joker deals with his enemies.

Otherwise I liked the nightclub, his outfits, and what little we got to see of his lackeys in Arkham.

Well, I do agree that I do like the outfits (honestly they weren't that bad.), the Joker still needs to be theratical too. Even if he was over the top (which come on, that's what jokers like) in the extended cut scenes, it fit how he likes being the centre of attention, his lack of normality. Even in a lot of scenes cut, there was a theatrical side to him (waving in the helicopter before laughing in he build the scenes was pure joker) which we do need when dealing with the Joker.

There's never such thing as a subtle Joker (not counting that all star batman and robin one) . Even if I don't consider Ledger the best (my opinion), even I can admit there was a showman side that they toned down.

So my wish for Joker in later films is for them to embrace the theratical side a bit more.

Both Jack and Heath had 100% top notch make-up and wardrobe. They're a treat to look at, whereas Leto... well... he looks cool in the tux and that's about it.

Agreed. Leto Joker have worst suits and look. I don't want any more suits that look like pimp suits. Gold and silver jackets look stupid. No more open chest white shirts. Look bland for Joker. Get rid of jewellery and tattoos as well.

My favorite thing about his minions are that most of them wear odd costumes that make them immediately stand out.

I loved the outfits, but I'm hoping next time around he's mostly in a purple suit. He needs to wear a purple suit.

Joker should have nipple, nose, lip and tongue piercings next. Oh, and those massive ass earrings that stretch your lobes. What color should they be? Green or red? Perhaps purple?

He should also have a tramp stamp of Common and Harley.

Not unless he had been possessed by Incubus for whatever reason - mimicking the tribal shaman that were probably priests for whatever old religion him and Enchantress came from.

I would just stick with the crocodile skin jacket and cane he had when he attacked Van Criss labs. I liked that costume more than the others he's had.

The jacket is cool, but it was their "substitute" for the purple suit (per the costume designers word). For Joker's outing we need A. new costume department and B. him in an actual purple suit. It must happen.

I think it is a good idea to give The Joker a varied wardrobe. As with The Penguin- and unlike Catwoman, The Riddler, Scarecrow etc - his clothes are not a "costume" per se, and it seems likely that he should vary them. I prefer them to be kept within a consistent spectrum forming his own tastes, however. He clearly prefers vintage suits and shades of purple. B89's Joker actually reflected this quite well. I liked his checked purple golf pants.

I agree, a varied wardrobe fits him more, especially given how often he's changed his attire in the comics. My only complaint was that the costume designer stated a purple suit would be "too much" when it would've been perfect.

Jack's suits were costume porn. I love how he wore something different every time he appeared.

I don't recall much variance in Jack's suits - the classic purple and then another one he wore when he hit up the art gallery to Prince? Speaking of, Joker's disguise at the end should've had Prince on it instead of Joker/JKR.

There were quite a few variations:-

Yep, Cesar and Heath were the only two that didn't change their wardrobe regularly....though for the latter, he doesn't give a damn about fashion so it's to be expected.

My question is: how the hell does the studio approve this look and characterization for the Joker, especially when they're competing with Marvel and losing that race handily?? Like, you'd think they'd make sure they got the Joker on point. Instead, not only do they not get it right, but they give us what we got.

Seriously, who thought gangster, bling, pimp Joker was a good idea?? Boggles my mind man.

Agreed. They ruin two of DC best villains in one year. Luthor and Joker.

Oh no. That means the royalties go to Marvel.

Or something.
