Why not just make a Spider-Man 2099 movie or a Ghost-Spider/Spider-Gwen movie?
That’s what I got from it. YMMV.

It could be worse, Marvel would probably reduce him to a former Stark Enterprise employee who got fired for playing Animal Farm and is seeking revenge through some hunting VR Stark tech with the help of a Kraven tingle.
Those could be a big success if done right, but I kind of don't want Sony to waste them. Why not just make a Spider-Man 2099 movie or a Ghost-Spider/Spider-Gwen movie?
Well, this definitely looks like a comic book movie made by the company that gave us Morbius and the Venom films. Love that Sony's Kraven is a mixture of Rambo and Patience Phillips.
Lord, this looks like hot garbage. Morbius is about to have company
I think you might be on to something. Kris Carr said on both Harloff's "Big Thing" show a couple of weeks ago and on Campea's podcast show that she has friends working on Kraven and they're saying "it's a mess".
They need their Sinister Six team up film!I mean it makes so much more sense. Stop trying to make villain movies, and make the superhero movies of the superheroes you have and have them interact with the villains.

The trailer gives way too much of the backstory away. I feel like I don't even need to watch the beginning of the movie now.
Not that it matters much, I'm here solely for shirtless ATJ.
I think what helps this film is that Kraven isn't overly CGI, unlike Morbius.
They get all the plaudits in gaming and now animated films after SV, and then their modern live action stuff is a clown show. It's kind of amazing how for a moment Sony was at the top of the world. Glowing audience and critical reviews for the greatest superhero film of the year, only for them to remind everyone that they are in the business of SLOP just a few weeks later. They are doubling down too, as El Muerto apparently starts filming in August.
Sony, never change...
