I'm going to start by addressing knowsbleed. Poor knowsbleed spent the challenge sleeping. Don't you know what happens in your sleep in crowds! Well, you know now. Another harsh lesson from Survivor!

Here it is everyone, the moment you have all been waiting for! We began this game with almost 30 players. 16 made the tribes. 9 made the jury. Now, amongst all the chaos, lying, deceit, hard work, and dealing...only 2 people remain.

Here's the updated grid:

And for the last time, rules!

The Game

Hype! Survivor is a game of strategy, deception, and skill. Alliances are both permitted and encouraged. Make no allies or make many allies, it's all up to you. There are many different ways to win this game. Masterminding, forethought, and hard work are the keys to success. Laziness and ineffective play will both be exposed and punished. Although being lazy may be a strategy, not participating at all is not. If the players and hosts feel at any time that a certain player is no longer participating, they can be removed from the game without warning.

As a side note: alliances can be with any of the players. It doesn't matter who they are nor what tribe they're on, just make sure it's someone you trust...or not. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer!

Challenges

Each tribe (or individual) will receive challenges marked by "Issues". Instructions for challenges will be explained for each challenge. Some challenges may require judging, some may be trivia, some may be skill. Expect a variety for your playing pleasure. The tribe (or person) who does the best, wins immunity and is therefore safe from elimination that round.

Tribal Council

During the team portion of the game, the tribe who performed best at the end of the 'Issue' (or round) wins immunity. The losing tribe must then vote off one of their members via PM in a 'Tribal Council'.

In the case of a tie at tribal council, there will be a tie-breaker challenge between the players with the most votes. The winner of the tie-breaker will determine who stays. During the solo portion of the game a tie-breaker challenge will also be used. The player who does the best on the tie-breaker will be allowed to stay, the other player will be eliminated.

If a tribe (or player) happens to win first place three days in a row, then they'll be given a gift in addition to their immunity. They will go to tribal council on behalf of everyone by themselves and they'll vote off ANYONE IN THE GAME THAT THEY CHOOSE. This privilege is not static, but must be re-earned by winning another three challenges.

In order to have your votes counted, please send them to both Spider-Fan and chaseter. Please do NOT send your votes in to any other name. You will only have one chance to vote. There will be no changing your vote once your vote is cast. Vote carefully! If you do not send in a vote in the given time frame, IT WILL COUNT AGAINST YOU. It will be a vote for yourself.

Hosts

Your hosts have gone to great lengths to ensure fairness. Merges, shuffles, and so on have been set in place. Only the hosts will know about these days in advance. There will be additional twists and turns throughout the game, so do not get too cozy.

At times, individual judgment calls will need to be made. We understand that players will not always see eye-to-eye with hosts. HOWEVER, the hosts word is final. There will be no negotiating hard and fast rules, but all cases will be fairly heard. Rest assured, there is a hosting staff dedicated to handling the hosting responsibilities. If need be, we will even vote on matters for the sake of the game's integrity.

Furthermore, there are additional rules (for the host's eyes only). These have been set in place to help us with matters that may or may not arise. Please consult hosts before assuming anything. They may be able to help you out if you have a question.

Jury

The final Jury will be composed of seven people (everyone voted off from the remaining nine players who didn't make the finals). The Jury will then vote FOR WHO THEY THINK SHOULD WIN of the final two remaining players so we can crown the winner of the Hype! Survivor.

Cheating

A note on cheating: It's very easy to cheat in this game. Very, very easy. Some of the rounds will be much more difficult to cheat at than others (some will be downright impossible to cheat on). Regardless, hosts have ways of catching you and sometimes will even set up traps for you. If you feel you have to cheat, by all means, go ahead. But, if you're caught, you WILL be penalized. Again, specific rules of what's legal or not will be in each challenge PM.

One thing that is certainly NOT lawful under any circumstances is sharing screenames. Hosts have the ability to check IPs, and if you are caught sharing screenames then a severe penalty will be handed out. Please be mindful of only using your OWN screename for this game.

Team Captain

A team captain will be chosen before the start of each new "Issue". They will be chosen through a majority vote from the entire team. The team captain is responsible for submitting challenge answers or tasks. If they cannot do so during that time frame, they must post who will do so in their team forum or by sending a pm to BOTH hosts.

Powerups

"Powerups" are rewarded to the winning team after every challenge.

The captain from the winning team of that challenge will choose a powerup from a list. We have a pre-determined list of all powerup rewards, so players will not be aware of their reward until after they have picked the specific name assigned to the reward. When a powerup is to be used, the team captain must pm BOTH hosts the name of the powerup that is to be used. Powerups do not have to be used each day. You can save them for later use and they will transfer to each new team captain. All powerups can be used until merge. Then, they will be useless.

Misc.

Whilst these rules are set as the guidelines for this game, each challenge will set the rules for that specific day. What may be cheating one day, may not be another day. Reading is fundamental. Make sure you familiarize yourself with this information, and those in the challenges as well. Please note that at times an announcement might be needed to amend the existing rules of this game, or the rules in the challenge. Please look for these and note them. Each 'day' is marked by a new challenge.

In one corner, we have Matt. In the other, ComicChick. The two of you shall now have judgement passed on you by a jury of your peers.

The jury will work like this:

Each juror will ask our two finalists a question. It can be different questions or the same one, but you're limited to one question. Your question will be public. However, your jury vote later will be private. Chaseter and myself will take your vote to the grave with us :)

Jury PMs are coming!

i think the person with boobs will win.

oh wait.... liefield drew these :p

I have sent the PM instructing the jury. Now we wait for the questions :)

What.... is the average wing speed of a swallow?

African or European?

Says the guy who ratted out my plan last game! :cmad:

I was mutually protecting you AND ComicChick from each other. I kept you safe from her too... it was give and take :)

And threw me to the sharks. :o

That's actually not true. It came down to a point when I was allied to everyone left in our tribe. You and I were the least allied as we were only really allied through CC and only made our alliance official maybe a week or two prior to that point. CC, Bamf, Spoons, and Pickles were all allied with me WAY before that. I had to choose an ally to send home it made most sense for it to be you.

It also made sense because it moved me up CC's ranks. It was a sensible move that just happened to also be strategic. And I also gave you warning I was going to do it in case you could somehow pull someone to your side to save yourself. I gave you a fighting shot. CC had an alliance with Pickles and my alliance with Bamf was still early. Either of them might have been swayed or thrown votes to give you a win or a tie. I gave you a fair shot.

But, that failure got me eliminated :csad:

Nice job on protection! :cmad:

You can justify it 11 ways from Sunday but it ain't gonna help you. And didn't you backstab CC later anyway?

Um... no. What game were you watching? CC, Pickles, Bamf, Spoons, and I had a final 5 deal. No promises beyond that. Spectre won the final 6 challenge, so one of the final 5 had to be eliminated. With no promises on who would be the first to go, we chose CC due to how good she was a challenges and how likely she'd have beat us all in the finals... or something along those lines. No promises broken in the slightest, nothing schemed behind her back.

And it seems to me you don't understand the concept that when all you have are allies left, someone still has to be evicted. We can't just pass. What was I supposed to do. Vote for someone in the other tribe just for fun?! I'm not one to throw a vote or vote for myself just to be nice. It's dumb gameplay in my opinion. If you aren't going to play, then don't play.

Missed my post JewHob :o

And both of you would have been eliminated within the first few weeks had I not stepped in. I kept her safe from you (you had her beat 3 times), you safe from her (she had you beat 2 times), you safe from Movies/Gilpesh or whoever it was that wanted to start a revolution, etc (they had you beat once). I kept you in the game longer than you would have originally... and all the while made a wonderful and respected friend out of you.

Flattery will get you everywhere

I wasn't mad about that game at all in honesty. I took my shot, it failed and I lost. I still would have done it...no guts no glory :)

I wasn't really watching after I left, I just heard stuff. Aaaaand, I think there were better options to vote people out than me. I said nothing about throwing votes, voting for the other team or not playing. So.... Your point kinda fell apart at the end.

Where'd Squirrel go? I like being told I screwed people over by people who had no idea what was going on. I'm in an argumentive mood... entise me!

Where's Matt when you need him?
