Out of all the X-Men movies. I think X-Men Origins: Wolverine and X-Men: First Class had the most similarities. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was soo bad and X-Men: First Class was soo good and its amazing that they had a lot of similarities.

-"We're brothers", Sabretooth said it to Wolverine during their last scene together and Magneto said to Professor X during their last scene together.
-Two from the original cast were in the movie; Hugh/Patrick in Wolverine and Hugh/Rebecca in First Class.
-Teleporters; Wraith in Wolverine and Azazel in First Class.
-Younger version of X-Men members like Cyclops and Beast.
-Kid and younger version of Brotherhood members like Sabretooth and Mystique.
-Kid version of the protagonist, Wolverine and Professor X. Plus during their first scene, a villain in X1 was in that scene too (Sabretooth and Mystique).
-Kid version of Storm.
-Diamond Emma Frost.
-A non-mutant character in the cast; Stryker and Moira.
-X-Men members in the comics making an appearance in the movie as an ally of the protagonist; Gambit, Havok and Banshee.
-The antagonist were using mutants for experimentation; Stryker and Sebastian Shaw.
-Actors that appeared in Friday Night Lights; Taylor Kitsch (Gambit) and Caleb Landry Jones (Banshee).
-The protagonist lost something and they lost it because of a bullet. Wolverine lost his memory and Professor X lost his ability to walk.
-A mutant threatened a human by putting something on that human's neck. Magneto strangled Moira using Moira's tag necklace and Kayla made Stryker to point his gun to himself.
-Only 1 mutant villain was killed. Agent Zero in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Sebastian Shaw in X-Men: First Class.
-Both films didn't have those flashy opening segment and the background of the title card was just plain black.
-Emma Frost being picked up by another mutant. Professor X in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Magneto in X-Men: First Class.
-The mutant that wasn't in the movie posters became the 1st casualty; Bolt and Darwin.
-The climax happened in a small island.

Dude you're over analyzing a bit too much.

The big difference is that they developed each main character properly, gave them enough screen time and shifted the focus to another plot point at the proper times.

Origins Wolvie, was just one big Hugh Jackman spotlight and they watered down the characters throughout. Then they just threw in a bunch of cameos for novelty sake and conglomerated super powers for the climax. Just a big mess from start to finish.

X-O: W shouldn't even be about many other mutants, it's about wolverine and wolverine alone, toss Sabretooth here and there and you have the perfect movie, buut they made it suck completelly.

Recast of "X-Men" henchmen, who are now in one way or another related to main character: Sabretooth and Mystique.

I can see the Sabretooth claim but a good 40 years passes before x1....ALOT of stuff could possiby happen to make her very cold and not as animatd.
