SuperHeroHype!: A Family Forum?​

There has been quite a bit of talk about the recent "inappropriate" avatar removals lately. Why? Because SHH! is said to be a Family Forum, deeming its content appropriate for all ages. This is not a debate to discuss whether it was fair to remove said avatars, but to discuss whether "Family Forum" is a just classification. What do you think?​

Please keep it civil. This is not a thread meant for bashing the Hype!; but rather discuss it.

The ads have been complained about in the past, too. Personally, I find it all obnoxiously inappropriate.

Why should we have to take the time to download something that we don't even know is safe just to comfortably use a forum that claims to be family-appropriate?

It's reliable, firefox makes it. It's great.

Its a "family" site, but its not made for kiddies. I wouldn't let my 10 year old nephew post here, but it'd be fine for my 16 year old nephew. I think the whole goal is to make it more teen friendly than kid friendly, since the majority of posters here seem to be teenagers. And given that, I don't think saying "damn" or talking about drugs is going to be that bad on a 15 or 16 year old kid.

i agree with kritish..i use it and it hasnt caused me any problems...it helps alot more than it hurts..i mean..if u dont want to download it thats fine but it works great..ur really missing out on something that could benifit ur computer greatly in the future

How is Satanic discussion adult?. And piss, damn, or hell for that matter? I think really, anything that a 12 year old or older can handle is fine.

Also, the people in charge of the site doesn't control the ads, Google or whoever does, you have to complain to them. It's not like the admins can simple turn off all True ads or something. I think they should try out Project Wonderful over Adsense or whatever, but I don't know how profitable or not that would be.

well..the only thing there is to do to really put it at an end is to make it against the rules to post such content..wich i mean..its a shame that thats wat its come down to but for the sake of the younger kids here id say thats the best thing for us all..i dont like it just as i dont think any of u like it but thats the only thing i can think of to end the problem

I haven't seen anything on here (that's been allowed) that a thirteen year old couldn't handle. The other stuff is taken down as soon as possible.
