I don't think there was any sort of threat like that in Germany four years ago. Although the last thing Al Qaeda wanted to do was to anger the Germans. I also doubt there will be any sort of similar threat for Brazil 2014.

I don't think having the World Cup in South Africa is a mistake. I think it's awesome, it's going to be a fun World Cup

I could understand their reasoning. It would be a huge security risk, and they are already stretched thin as it is. It would have not been a problem had the World Cup been in Europe or Asia, IMO.

If the United States does make it to the elimination round, I would think that it would either be Clinton or Biden.

Not with a bookie, remember in the football thread about that bet I made with my buddies? I picked 2nd and got Spain. Friend in the lead picked Germany, that's actually what I was aiming for.
