With regards to team films being eligible, I think the crucial element is that it is the origin of the principle characters of the film. So for example, First Class would count as an origin story because it is also the origin of Xavier, Magneto, and Mystique, whereas The Avengers would not since Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America had their origins in other films.

#5 is kind of tough. I want to say Man of Steel but eh. I want to say Superman the movie but haven't seen it recently enough to really say for sure. I want to say Amazing Spider-Man, love that movie...but really, far as an origin story goes, it doesn't top Spider-Man.

So I will actually throw a curveball and say Batman ('89), it isn't a traditional origin story, but I love the way it plays the character as a mysterious figure, we go through the whole movie to find what happened to young Bruce Wayne.
