Herolee, I totally understand what you're doing. Trust me, I get WAAAY more carried away than Herolee does on things like this and I was pretty pissed too at first - I didn't want to come away from the movie seeing Superman lose a fight to Batman rather than Superman LET Batman win to prove he's not a villain, or see Superman die and get some corny funeral scene.

But the more I think about it, the more I'm on board with it. So what if people call it cheap? So what if people think he's overpowered?

Superman will give his life to save a world that fears him because its the right thing to do. If thats the case, then Batman and Wonder Woman are the ones who aren't walking away with the most heroic scene, Clark is.

Superman and Batman weren't even founding members originally, maybe the league struggles to save the day until Clark returns to inspire and rally them as leader? We don't know yet. The possibilities are still endless.

They should of used the death of Superman for Justice League Part 1. In Part 2 Darkseid appears and looks like the JL are gone be defeated is when Superman should return and fight Darkseid.

Or maybe they aren't officially a group yet. They could just be a rag tag team working under forced circumstances. Then Supes comes back saves the day. Bruce cries, just cause, everyone is inspired because thats how Superman roles. He ultimately unites the team.

If Superman does get revive after the JL is formed, it's going to mean nothing because it shows me that the writers have no idea on how to integrate Superman into the story. This is the real issue.

Though you gotta chuckle at the similarities between BvS and SII

Superman and Lois have sex in both films

Superman saves Lois from a terrorist organization in both films.

Superman loses the love of his life in SII and loses his actual life in BvS due to his duty towards the world.

Superman gets the crap beaten out of him by a human being in both films.

Washington DC catches heat in both films as a result of Superman's actions or lack of.
