I'm going to pass on that set because my wallet can't take me upgrading films I already own on Blu-ray to 4K, but I will say that package art is gorgeous.

Considering he didn’t know he had a son, if she’s his daughter he didn’t know about either, then he’s a really bad father.
Lol, seriously. And it would just be a repeat of Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls. Speaking of, wonder if Mutt or Marion will make an appearance. Shia’s potential involvement is up in the air considering all the personal issues he’s got going on

Anyway, I can see Phoebe playing a relative to Marcus Brody. Granddaughter perhaps?

Well, he does have daddy issues.

I could see that. And not just because she's British either lol

Shia is probably 100% no, not only because of his personal issues but he pretty much severed ties with Spielberg by speaking ill of him in the press.

I'd be down for a Marion cameo though. I'm sure they'll address his marriage.

One scooper said the closest thing he's heard to the plot is that it's not about the fountain of youth. If we trust scoopers that is haha.

Well it's cool casting even if it strikes me more as more of part of the Disney apparatus of casting someone who's hot right now. Next I'm half expecting Donald Glover to be cast. But she's very talented. At least it's not someone like Daisy Ridley. I sincerely hope she's not some relative of Indy's. Marcus's granddaughter is just less bad. Marcus was just a friend from 30 years ago. No need to dwell on that with a generational thing. But in this current film era where it's all about generations and passing things on, and since this is Disney who's idea of new ideas is the X-Wings are now painted a different color, I fear this is possible.

Look, despite my concerns that will be throughout this movie, I am truly excited. There will behind the scenes Disney propaganda about how everyone loved making the movie and how emotional it was for Ford to be Indy again (expect an insert of someone crying) and how they focused on practical effects, and I'll be annoyed. But that won't rain on my parade. I might still love this no matter what.

But so help me God, if this is about Indy finding the Ark of the Covenant or if I see a desert again... that might just do it.

I'd give James Mangold way more credit than that. He doesn't really need to waste his time with this unless he was really jazzed about the story he wants to tell. At the very least, I don't think he'll let it fall to generic "let's find the Ark again" levels.

This kind of got lost in the shuffle! John Williams is back too! I know he's been pretty much retired other than the odd Spielberg/Star Wars of the last few years, but nice to see it confirmed.

In addition, legendary Oscar-winning composer John Williams has signed on to score the film. Williams has scored every previous Indiana Jones titles going back to 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I trust in James Mangold. The guy knows how to tell an emotional story and to tell it really well. This is in great hands and I say that as someone who holds the Indy character really close to my heart.

I agree, Mangold makes me optimistic, but at the end of the day, he has to be on the same page as Kennedy, and her track record for these have been awful with her very conservative ideas. I could be wrong, but I'm going off precedent here. At least you have Spielberg producing who has a great sense in that role.

Apart of me wants to speculate as to who Bridge could be. But I don't want to be fooled again like I was with SW. If I even try to guess something mildly creative, my expectations are too high. The only thing that keeps me on board is the fact this is Indy and Ford is back. When you think of Indy, your brain goes to exciting and fun ideas all rooted in the fact these movies all have a different character to them. But that was pre-Disney. Now it's different. I was more optimistic when Spielberg was on board because he'd be the one guy who'd have veto over Kennedy.

Though I sincerely hope she isn't just some snarky woman who is there to give a self aware modern commentary so nothing is offensive. Because she's very good at that humor in her original work. But knowing Disney and their approach, they would just want that and find the first person that comes to their heads.
