That's why I think the TVA is full of it or at least the people in charge, whether that's the Time Keepers or someone else.

I'm thinking that whoever is in charge wants the sacred timeline not because they fear the multiverse leads to destruction but as as a way of keeping time in order and under their rule.

I'm glad Hiddleston got to stretch his comedic chops after breaking our hearts in the last episode. His rapport with Wilson is a highlight of the show for me.

So apparently Bonnie Tyler's, "Holding Out for a Hero" is very cheap. Because this is the 4th different time I have heard it used in a week.

I had predicted that song to turn up in one of Quill's playlists in either Guardians 2 or Infinity War considering it's from Footloose and would have been an obvious choice. Go figure it turns up in this and a trailer for a non-MCU GOTG game in the same week.

I must say I'm surprised by the way that people online everywhere seem to treat the Time-Keepers like they were created for the show and there isn't material to go by for what their origins and motives might be, given that usually with speculation for Marvel movies and shows I always see people mentioning how things were in the comics. That's not really a bad thing, but I'm simply surprised given how for something like WandaVision I couldn't escape people posting comic panels and wiki links about Billy and Tommy, Agatha Harkness, Mephisto, Master Pandemonium, Wonder Man, Grim Reaper and a bunch of other things as evidence for what was going to happen in the future episodes of the show (though of course most of those theories turned out wrong anyway).

The show runner Michael Waldron wrote for Rick and Morty, which relies heavily on Sci-fi.

I'm thrilled that Feige promoted Waldron and is giving him more showrunning/writing tasks.

Not sure if it's been mentioned already (probably) but the devices they use to 'reset' variant timelines turns purple. The power stone is purple and when the Celestial used it in GOTG it wiped out the planet.... Maybe those devices are powered by a random power stone they picked up at some point?

So what was Hunter C-20 mumbling about when she was repeating "it was real" - was she merely talking about the Variant that took her? Or was she shown something..... else?

I thought this episode was fine as well but something about this show just isn't clicking for me yet. I'm not exactly sure what it is, it could be the heavy exposition, it could be a number of things.

I'm mostly just looking forward to Kang's possible appearance.

There's no doubt in my mind that the time keepers were a trio, one of which may have been (and still is) Kang; I'm wondering whether he got greedy though and killed the other two?

So how far into the future can the TVA jump? I was under the impression that the Timekeepers were molding the future on an ongoing basis, but the TVA jumped to (and knew about) a hurricane in 2050.

They should be able to go anywhere in time; since it's dawn, right until the collapse of the universe.

That said, it's possible their technology only allows them to travel up until a point that the timeline is managed. If these strains get out of control, then there is no definite timeline, and thus no solidified end.

I do hope this show has more of a wrap than WandaVision did, cause that was kinda left open - although the Loki series has to be left open too, especially as Kang will be the Ant Man 3 villain and there's got to be some wild connection between the Loki series, WandaVision and Quantumania.

It seems inevitable that this Loki will one day meet Thor too, maybe not until Thor 6 or something, but it'll happen, I'm sure of it.

Edit: I do find it ... peculiar, slightly, that all of these timeline variations and such just so happen to take place on Earth too - and that the TVA appear to be human. Whilst I'm sure Disney have a budget to watch, would it hurt them to be a little more ... creative?

It is odd that there isn't a Skrull, Blue Kree, Krylorian or Sovereign working in the TVA (though there was a Variant Skrull in episode 1). Both the crew and their missions are awfully earth centric, which we may find out at some point is because Midgard is a Nexus planetary body.

The TVA personnel aren't really human, though, are they? I mean, they seem to be just synthetic beings created by the Time-Keepers to perform specific tasks that merely resemble humans. The dude with the Infinity Stones in his desk not knowing what fish is kinda supports that too.

Ok this was a couple of steps up from the first episode which was already good. This is on course to be a seriously great show. Loki wasn’t near the top of my show picks and I thought he was getting a bit overexposed, but getting the chance to really focus on him amid this backdrop has worked so well.

Well Earth does always seem to be of some kind of divine cosmic importance (probably because it gives an excuse to feature it often and make situations more familiar/relatable). It's in the center of Yggdrasil in the 9 realms. Presumably in the MCU it will also be the special project of the Celestials and have been watched over or drawn attention of countless other powerful beings like Asgardians, Olympians, Eternals and other "gods-beings" as such. And indeed it may contain the Nexus of All Realities in Florida. And become the source of some uniquely powerful beings like the Scarlet Witch and later potentially such as the Molecule Man, Franklin Richards, Legion, etc. as well as suitable conduits for powerful forces like the Phoenix Force and Enigma Force. Not to mention the Destiny Force. If some of those things exist in the MCU too it makes sense why Earth would be a hotspot for variance.
