She-Hulk Marvel Studios' She-Hulk General Discussion Thread

The chances of me hating this show is quite slim. Now will like it more than Loki or WandaVision? Time will tell. Will I hate it? Probably not.

There’s just too much content. They need to pare it back to quality over quantity but that won’t happen.

I don't see it that way, but I don't plan on watching everything anyways. I don't plan on watching Secret Invasion or Season Two of What If for example. I will pass on Spider-Man: Freshman Year but I will watch X-Men 97. There are others that I will probably pass on like a rumored Ten Rings spinoff.

I thought before they were calling it She/Hulk with a slash between words like She/ her. They seem to have gone back to She-Hulk with a hyphen.

It looks like they used the budget for Hulk and the leftovers for Jennifer. When she's wearing that dress she looks like Fiona from Shrek.

But yeah, I'm still excited for this.

Is there though? D+ has 2 Marvel shows on at once IF we are lucky. Its largely been 1 show at a time. Thats not too much content, thats very little.

Yeah and there's also the fact that I'VE BEEN WAITING TO GET THIS LEVEL OF COMIC BOOK CONTENT SINCE THE ****ING 80'S AND YOU PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING THAT THERE'S TOO MUCH???? So yeah, I'm not complaining. GIVE ME MORE!

Here's hoping they're still working on the cg lol. Not that I expect any miracles.

All I have to say is I am all-in on the new Shrek TV series.

Drag Queens do it just as good in real life compared to that CGI lol

Shows aren’t on at the same time but it’s a constant stream so now even a regular MCU viewer may start feeling like they are falling behind.

Secret Invasion definitely feels like something you should watch just to see how it impacts the greater MCU. Definitely skipping Ms Marvel and Echo, or at least, not watching them until it’s all dropped and maybe binge on a weekend.

I remember back when Brigitte Nielsen was going to be She Hulk in a project that stalled in the 90s.

I'm mainly watching Ms. Marvel to see how cheesy and corny the teenage tropes are (and they usually are very corny and very cheesy) because while it's MCU, it's also a teen show and teen shows and movies usually go heavy on the tropes. I am almost 40 and I recently binged watched a lot of teen related movies from the beginning of the century and the tropes are heavy in every movie I have seen and they are quite corny and cheesy. Now, there may be changes to those tropes as there are for every project. but I would suspect that Ms. Marvel will have a lot of them but with a superhero twist and I do like how Kamala has an older sibling instead of an annoying younger sibling (which is one of the usual tropes in any teenage movie or show) who is loving but concerned for the protagonist (like the parents, which again is another trope of the teen genre).

Now with Echo, sure the character didn't grab my attention in Hawkeye, but I will watch it because I am always fascinated by Native American stories in Hollywood. I did watch Reservation Dogs recently since one of the writers from that show is involved with Echo and I have got to say that Reservation Dogs is fantastic and I am excited for a second season in August.

With Secret Invasion, I don't think SLJ and Don Cheadle are enough. Cast a few more of the MCU heroes in it (and do not make them Skrulls) and I will watch it.

Anyway, I am looking forward to Ms. Marvel and She Hulk. I don't usually get concerned with the CGI as long as the story and characters are great.

Was weary but, aside from dodgy cgi, it sounds awesome and am anticipating the series to arrive.

If we don't get an anthology series with the next chapter being Avocados At Law then I will riot.

I think some of the cgi looks fake on purpose. They want it to make look like the tone of the Lou Ferringno show (remember that teaser back in November - they even had the 70s clothes)

CGI doesn't look perfect for sure, but it's still a long way from what it was like in shows like Agents of Shield, Inhumans, Runaways, etc. I'm used to watching older shows and lower budget shows so I don't think I'll be too bothered by the CGI not being movie quality while watching. I just see it similar to a comic that has an artist that maybe isn't as good, but that doesn't mean it can't tell a great story regardless.

It looks like they used the budget for Hulk and the leftovers for Jennifer.
I'm no CGI expert, but I imagine they already had loads of assets for Hulk ready to go from Endgame, while She-Hulk had to be made from the ground up for this show. So that might be why there's a disparity between the two?
