Yes, good sign here. Hopefully there are many working on it who feel like X-fans that felt the Fox films were dominated by certain characters limiting the team appeal of those films given how many good characters X-Men comics have.

tho Feige starting this new chapter with Charles Xavier (Patrick) Deadpool and Jackman is not a good sign. feels like Fox era hasnt really ended at all.

Hopefully in 2-3 years the scenario will be completely different.

The old Fox versions are disposable now so he can play with them with the likes of 4th wall breaking Deadpool and reality-distorting, multiversal Secret Wars (similar to Xavier in MoM). It’s after that I expect the reset to happen and legit X-Men stuff for the long term to start appearing.

Imagine how much of a boost it would be around here to get such a big and reliable name cast first. Would also give confidence that future casting would be good. Given that the actor has very specifically mentioned it a number of times, he is at minimum at least on Feige’s radar and must have some kind of chance.

I think Giancarlo Esposito could be a Very Good MCU Version of Xavier he being Growing up in the 60s fighting for the rights of African Americans being an MCU equivalent of Martin Luther King Xavier and Magneto are inspired by King and Malcolm X i like to see MCU Xavier and Magneto being somewhat similar to them but i dont know if there would be Backlash in make Xavier and Magneto Black in the MCU or one of them Mary Jane dont exist in the MCU World she was replaced by Michelle Jones being the equivalent of Mary Jane in the MCU and she is Black/Brown so it would not be Strange to see a change in Xavier and Magneto or in other Mutants characters the MCU for me is not a faithful adaptation of the 616 Comics World the MCU is just another Universe of many in the Marvel Multiverse so i have not problem in see other different Versions of the characters
