Power Rangers 4.0 - Part 2

If the Power Rangers is still non-union, not all the original actors may participate ion the anniversary special. I know Walter, Amy, and Karen are union.

Well ain't that a twist ... Austin is in trouble with the law. In some unconventional way I definitely think this is karma.

Unfortunately this kinda puts a damper on the whole 30th Anniversary reunion with the original cast.

And I just found out he was an antivaxxer and covid conspiracist.

sigh

Damn it. I always liked red the most.

Oh well. Boy bye .

Leo can rescue Jason

Also there's a pic floating around from Instagram. The DailyMail decided to put Steve Cardena's photo next to ASJ. Steve did not like that. He used some expressive words to say the least.

This is not a good day to be a PR fan/person to say the least with this information being out in the open.

Steve Cardenas is hilarious. I read all those cuss words in his Rocky voice.

Seems to be a bad week in general, it seems Time Force Blue had some sexual assault stuff come out.

So can they instead make it an original movie cast reunion with - Rocky DeSantos(Cardenas), Aisha Campbell(Ashley) and might as well add Adam Park(Yong Bosch)

That news is about Jason (Actor Austin St. John) what did Rocky and Andros do?

It's laziness. The article itself is still about Austin St. John. Nothing on either Steve Cardenas or Christopher Khayman Lee. The Hill just used an image of the Red Space Ranger instead of Mighty Morphin, and folks in the tweet itself are calling that out.

Side-note, if Jason needs a good lawyer, Danny Slavin (Leo of Lost Galaxy) is an attorney, so...there's your legal help, Jason!

Beat me to it. Whoever publishes these articles probably just googled "Red Power Ranger" and used the first image that they saw. At this point I'm surprised no one has gotten him mixed up with Ricardo Medina Jr(Cole from Wild Force).

And I think Danny Slavin only specializes in real estate law and not criminal defense. And he's only certified to practice law in Arizona and not Texas.

As someone who is connected to another person in this case found out, you don't just grab any lawyer, you find a lawyer in the issue you are facing.

Fair. Didn't know he practiced a specific law. Still, I mostly just want to imagine that, post Forever-Red, Leo offered his legal services to other rangers.

Wow...what a bad news...

In Sentai's related case, though...
The most known controversies was the suicide of Shishi/Lion Ranger (Green)'s actor from Gosei Sentai Dairnger (1993).

Other controversies ...the hired of adult actress for the female villain for Carranger (1996), Megaranger (1997), Gingaman (1998).
I heard at the time...it was quite raised backlash especially from parents (considering not also the adult actresses that played them but the way they are dressed was considered as too much overly sexual way for children...haha).

Most recently though...the sexual harrasment allegation done to one of producers of Kamen Rider Revice (which still airing now) by one of the female crew staff.

I do remember catching some of Carrranger and thinking "And I thought Divatox's costume was revealing...."

Austin St. John's team issued this statement.

On the one hand, I will be sad to see them stop using Sentai footage.

On the other hand...

Toei and Hasbro has worked things out and the Super Sentai are getting released on DVD again.

David Yost is trying to get a Power Rangers reunion show with the original cast . There's a petition going on, any chance this will happen?!

Sign the Petition

Wow..thats exciting news!

Fiveman was the first series which included all sibling members. The highlights to me were Yellow and black (they were twins!)

And if this backwards release trend continues...next it will be Kousoku Sentai Turboranger (1989). I'd really recommend this series for Western fans.
One of the best Sentai series in the 80s. Cool opening and ending songs. Cool villains design and compelling story about fairies vs demons.

There is a reason why the end of 80s and early 90s were considered as the renaissance years for Sentai series. From Changeman (1985), Maskman (1987), Liveman (1988), Turboranger (1989), Jetman (1991), Zyuranger (1992), Dairanger (1993), Kakuranger (1994) were all very popular in Japan and considered as "classic and the best" among Sentai lore.

And I just read something interesting from Suzuki Takayuki-shi's interview (Toei producer who produced Sentai series since the first Goranger until Carranger).

In the interview that I read from "Sentai Mook" that Saban at first had considered "Chojin Sentai Jetman" (1991) to be the first Power Rangers adaptation.

But that plan has changed because Saban at the time felt that most kid in America wont like the bird themed costume superhero.
(Since yeah Jetman's motif costume was various species of birds).
So the plan was scrapped and instead Saban adapted the very next series, Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger with its dinosaurs themed costume which turns out to be very popular among kids in America.

I really wonder what if the first Power Rangers adaptation was Jetman?
Haha. Will they still be popular in America? I wonder.

One more thing that I am always curious is why Saban never do the Dairanger adaptation properly?

Dairanger had one of the best costume in the Series. So I am curious why Saban only put their mechas into Power Rangers Season 2? But not the costume?

Looking by the pic...Kiba Ranger (white) is more fitting with the rest of Dairangers (with all their Chinese mythical beasts themed costumes) than with Zyuranger's.

Dairanger's mechas and Zyuranger's theme also arent matched and fit for each other at all.
It was weird to see Dairen-Ou but with Zyurangers piloting it.

This is the thing that always made me curious regarding Power Rangers.
