Quite possibly my favourite decade! :D Simple premise, nominate 3 movies from the 80's that you feel are contender's to be the best blockbuster of that decade. On Monday I'll close this thread and make a poll thread with the 10 most nominated movies. :)

My Nominations:
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Back to the Future
Die Hard

Raiders Raiders Raiders.

Nah, Ernest Goes To Camp. Nah, Raiders.

Votes made in terms of 'impact'.....

* E.T.
* The Empire Strikes Back
* Back to the Future

Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Empire Strikes Back
Batman (for marketing game change)

Terminator
Blade runner
Honey I blew up the kids

Predator
Robocop
Rambo

Aliens
Crocodile Dundee
Who Framed Roger Rabbit

I would have voted for The Terminator, but it really wasn't a huge blockbuster at the box office.

Yeah, same with Blade Runner and Big Trouble In Little China, which were actually flops. Love'em, but I was too little to try and help out their box office earnings at the time :p

Does caddyshack count as a blockbuster?

I'm surprised there's only one Ghostbusters nomination.

Terminator
Blade runner
Honey I blew up the kids

That was out in 1992. :) Did you mean Honey I Shrunk the Kids?

Does caddyshack count as a blockbuster?

It made a bit more than The Terminator domestically so yeah, I think it could count.

Back to the Future
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Aliens

Yay! And yes I did

Predator
Empire and Raiders are probably going to be most popular and already have a number of nominations so I want to throw one out for Top Gun as I don't see anyone else mention it yet. Also if we can do multiple films from one series I would also add Last Crusade.
I would have wanted to mention Aliens/Terminator/Back to the Future but luckily they've already been nominated.
So the bolded are my choices.

Die Hard
Ghostbusters
The Goonies

Die Hard ( best action flick ever)

Return of the Jedi ( I remember lining up for hours to see that)

ET ( not ashamed to say it made me tear up).
