The Hawkman helmet looks SO GOOD. Though such a shame he wont be bare chested like in the comics. Oh well. Definitely an upgrade from Smallville/Arrows Hawkmen.
There's no need for Hawkgirl at the moment.
When the film plays in cinemas and you go to see it, you shouldn't destroy your own experience by really wishing she was there too, thinking the film lacks something.
Having Hawkman as the fierce leader of Justice Society (when they fight Black Adam), will be enough to begin with. It's awesome already as it is.
I'll go "OMG! It's Hawkman!!!" myself
BUT, I've noticed something. It's weird that Warner Bros didn't include Jay Garrick and Alan Scott. They are as much of basic, original members of JS as Hawkman is, and they really should have been on the team. Does it have something to do with CW's Flash and the upcoming GL series? Maybe the two heroes can't be used for that reason?
There's more to this!!!
Hourman is absent. He's on the Stargirl series.
The reason for Sandman (Wesley Dodds) to not be included could be for the Sandman series on Netflix (which is about another character with the same name).
Atom is a hero in CW's universe. They have the Ray Palmer version. Which means the original JS guy with the alias, Al Pratt, is not in the upcoming BA film (we get Atom Smasher instead)
Other heroes who have been on JS over the years (Doctor Mid-Nite, Stargirl, Wildcat, Ted Knight/Starman), none of them will show up.
With so many of the typical JS members missing, we can ask if we're actually getting a live action Justice Society at all. It seems to be a different incarnation of the classic superhero team.
I mean, the only original guys left are Hawkman and Doctor Fate. The others will be characters that aren't tied to any other live action project, even if it's (in some cases) about hero alias only. These were probably the only ones available, the only ones free to use for the BA film.
No, this is appearantly not a Justice Society, except for the team name.
Have Warner Bros failed us? Should they have mapped out their cinematic universe better, saved the more typical JS heroes for THIS film and not spread them out on different TV shows? Should they have given us a real Justice Society, now that the Golden Age team make its first appearance on the big screen?
So while Hawkgirl wasn't on the first JS, I can somehow understand why you ask for more
Thanks, But I've seen the Hawk armor/helmet. That's why I said the hero will finally be done justice. Which is also a response to Primal Slayer's post .
The brutality is certainly there. I'm anticipating some shlockyness here and there, but it looks cool so far. I liked the little bits of the other costumes as well
