I think it should be different so casting would be:

Mathew McConaughey as Hal Jordan/GL
James Frain as Sinestro
David Ramsey as John Stewart/GL

Not sure about others yet though.

Made this suggestion on another thread. I'm probably gonna get ridiculed when I had this in mind so....Jason Sudeikis as Hal Jordan/GL.

I know this may seem a crazy idea, but we've seen a lot of success over the years with comedic actors playing superheroes (Michael Keaton, Chris Pratt, Paul Rudd).

I’m all aboard the Tom Cruise cruise now

If they sign him, that may be the only thing that gets this movie made. WB’s nervous about another Green Lantern movie. I really think Tom Cruise plus the added diversity of an up and coming black actor (Trevante?) would be enough to make this movie a big hit.

I can see this movie getting stuck in development hell without Cruise pushing for this thing . GL 2011 was one of the biggest bombs of all time. Geoff Johns would be smart to tailor the script to Cruise’s demands.

Tom Cruise is too big a name especially for Hal and not to mention he would completely overshadow Cavill as Superman and whoever they cast as Batman once Affleck leaves...which is why you should go for someone lesser known

Cena as Gardner gave me a chuckle but I could see it working well.

Rodriguez was a real standout in Annihilation. I endorse her for a number roles, CBM or otherwise.

Those are some good casting choices. Rhodes or Whittle would be perfect for John, though I'm leaning towards Whittle now since it sounds like he really wants the role (even though in most cases, that usually means he wouldn't even be in consideration, lol). Krasinski as Hal is good casting, and if that means he can get his lovely wife as Carol/Star Sapphire, then HELL YES. Love Ana de Armas as Katma Tui too, and Gardner is one character that I could really see Cena playing.

I think Mysterio may be his comic book limit but if it was between Clafin and Jake I'd go with Jake no question.

Keanu? As...?

We are in the Keanussance brother.

Marvel will get him soon, but i take solace in the fact that DC got him first.

Keanu is the personification of the idea that charisma is the most important factor when it comes to acting. He just has such a commanding presence. He doesn’t have to say barely anything to make an impact.

I still think he’d be an incredible, likable Sinestro.

Mark Strong was fine I guess but I want a Sinestro that really straddles that hero/villain line.

And make no mistakes, Sinestro should be the villain of GLC. Anyone else would be a mistake because no sequel is guaranteed. Bet big on the next GL movie.

The plot for the next movie is honestly pretty simple.

Space cop Hal Jordan (Tom Cruise) enlists the help of rookie John Stewart (Trevante Rhodes) to combat his best friend and veteran Sinestro (Keanu Reeves) and his disciples...and at the very end, Hal succumbs to the sinister entity that fuels the Sinestro Corps, effectively setting up the sequel.

Plant seeds that lay the groundwork for a Blackest Night centric trilogy and you’re good to go.

I know. But he should really play someone that fans care about. Even Marvel fans don’t give a **** about the Eternals. And he gets to play the villain of that. Awesome...

Let the dude play Silver Surfer or Sinestro or something instead of some random
