Creating a DC Lex Luthor fan film

Hey everyone,

There's been an idea forming in my head about adapting a Lex Luthor story into a short fan film, roughly 10 minutes and I've never made a FF before. I've directed a feature, tons of shorts, and work as an editor full time, so I know the ins and outs of production. I know that with these, you can't monetize the short but the thing holding me back is about WB or DC wanting to take it offline. I know the companies freak out when it's something like Star Trek's Anaxar series but before plunking down a few thousand to make it, I wanted to see if anyone's had any experience with DC towards their fans and fan films.

Hey, I don't think you should expect DC to take down your fan film. There are tons of Batman ones out there, like City of Scars. They're longer than 10 minutes and have been up for ages. So no, don't think you should worry about it.
