Victor Von Doom
Skrull patrols sweep the area surrounding Doom's magical border. It's the early hours of the morning, 1 week to the day since Johnny Storm's departure from Castle Doom. The same night Victor Von Doom had a plan. The same plan that is about to unfold on an unsuspecting Skrull supply truck.
4 hours earlier:
"The scum infesting our country have grown complacent. They no longer fear or suspect an attack. This is the moment we have been waiting for. I have called the covert team here tonight because I need your services. You are the best. Only you can do this."
"We are ready and willing Lord Doom. Ask of us what you will."
I smiled beneath my mask of iron. These men were willing to give everything to me, to this country. I would have it no other way.
"In 4 hours, the villainous Skrull have a shipment of supplies. Food, water, medicine, weaponry. You, are going to hijack this equipment and, if possible, the truck itself."
I stare at their unflinching faces. None seem particularly shocked or frightend, I have trained them too well.
"You will split up into two teams. the first will act as a distraction, you will stage a riot at one of the smaller Skrull encampments near-by drawing out many warriors from their posts. The second team shall attack the truck convoy directly. Now, even with the diversion the convoy will be fairly well gaurded and most likely have armoured escort. This is why I have decided that I will be joining in this phase of the plan."
Now they react. Faces of worry, admiration, doubt.
"M' Lord it is far too dangerous for yourself to leave the Castle. If they are alerted to your presence they will hunt you. Without you we are leaderless."
"Do not fret Gambly, If the worst is to happen, if i were to die or be captured, you shall lead in my stead. I trust only you with this burden."
"I... I'm speechless sir. I will not fail you."
"Of course not. Now then, let us prepare for our departure, gather equipment and ready yourselves, we leave in 4 hours."
